The weird thing about being in a coma is that sometimes you hear the things people saying around you, like the uppity alien asses judging everyone or the nurse who talks about her coworker behind her back. Needless to say I got to hear all the juicy gossip. Thanks for not letting me die, Tower. I owe ya one.

I feel like February is going to be a really good month.

From what I understand, the time I am from was a part of the "Little Ice Age". Snow and ice and terrible weather weren't unusual. But I'm very certain that I do not recall ever seeing so much snow at one time. I'm very glad to be here, safe and sound and, most of all, warm. While the houses we live in may be magnificent, there are times when a bed was the warmest spot one could find.

Okay, so teleporting to a new dimension is pretty crazy, but have you guys seen all the new menu items at Taco Bell? What the hell's a crunchwrap slider? I don't know but it looked good. And everything is improved, too. People are holding phones that you can touch with just your finger, no stylus needed! People thought I was crazy when I stared in awe at some of the features technology can do now. I feel so out of touch, it's embarrassing.

Especially now that I'm only working 40 hours a week.

So, apparently I'm not allowed to work more than forty hours a week anymore. Which means I'm going to have a lot more free time and have to face some of the things I've been trying to avoid. I mean, I'll still be volunteering at the clinic, and working full time as a paramedic, but it's going to seem like a vacation after all the double shifts.

In some ways it'll be nice, I guess. Although I'm going to feel again like I'm not doing enough

I feel that I said some stupid things that made her feel that she didn't, and now I'm not going to have the chance to make that up to her. Maybe back home, she won't remember the stupid things I said and did. I can hope, anyway.

I have been introduced to the ikenbot tumblr by one of my old co-workers. I have to say it is quite interesting to read. There's a lot of things that are the basis of the science we use in my time. Even some of it would be the same though on a more basic level, mostly just due to the advancement in technology. It is quite interesting though.

In other news there is a coffee fest starting on Friday. It looks amazing. I am definitely making plans to attend.
