Greetings and salutations. I'm Olivia Dunham, and I've been moved into your SHIELD cell so you're not so alone. Congratulations! You can call me Liv, Olivia or Agent Dunham, I'm not picky.

I have no real special skills to speak of on the superhero level, just 6 years under my belt with the Department of Defense as a special agent. And putting up with partners that are complete jackasses, if we get a third that's hard to manage.

Otherwise, sorry if I seem a little cranky. Nothing against you, just not exactly pleased to be moved from my current cell and I'm determined to take it out on everybody around me this week.

I was an FBI agent for eight years before coming here. And while my experience with the strange and unusual likely doesn't come anywhere close to comparing with yours, I'm not entirely unprepared. I hope you will let me know if there's anything I can do to aid your transition to active duty.

As some of you know (April Ludgate!, Ron Swanson!, Andy Dwyer! Leslie Knope! -- looking at all of you), I like to go for a light 15K every afternoon.

BUT -- again, still new here! -- I'd like to know what others do. For exercise. Because I like to exercise. For myself.

So, what do you guys do to work out?

Speaking of

I helped this dear old grandmother across the road today. She thanked me for being chivalrous but truly I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have the poor dear run down by automobiles. They don't seem to stop for me and I have been clipped far more times than I might otherwise admit.

Anyway, so the grandmother presses a bit of that green paper into my hand and we sit and have a conversation.

She asked me how old I was and I told her, "Grandmother, I am 857 years old" and she looked at me quite like no woman has ever looked at me before. It's blush worthy if I were attuned to that, and then she asked me if I was an angel.

I told her no, and that the Vala Castiel was indeed an angel. But it was very sweet and we quite enjoyed our afternoon.

I ate a hotdog. She said it would give her heartburn. I would hate to burn my heart, whatever that means.

If you can't hold your liquor aren't much of a drinker, but you want to join in St. Patrick's Day celebrations, is a pub crawl a horrible idea?
How much peer pressure is there on these things?
Is partaking in more food than liquor a major faux pas?
Will I be mocked endlessly/voted off the island if I only have a drink here or there?

I have been introduced to the ikenbot tumblr by one of my old co-workers. I have to say it is quite interesting to read. There's a lot of things that are the basis of the science we use in my time. Even some of it would be the same though on a more basic level, mostly just due to the advancement in technology. It is quite interesting though.

In other news there is a coffee fest starting on Friday. It looks amazing. I am definitely making plans to attend.

I have decided to conduct a historic cemetery crawl or two within the New York City area. New York has hundreds of hidden, forgotten, and curious sites intended for the peaceful rest of the Dead. If you have any interest in history, architecture, or if you have an odd morbid streak, you might wish to come with me.

I intend to see the "hidden" cemeteries lining the Western-most border of Queens, the Cypress Hills National Cemetery honoring both Confederate and Union Dead (and incidentally, where you can see debris from the glacier that once covered the area), and the beautiful stained glass of Flushing Cemetery. If I can manage it, I would also enjoy visiting the Catacombs at Green-Wood. I anticipate little difficulty in our visitation provided that I keep the groups small and we are respectful and quiet, and if anything terrible should go awry, I assure you that I am well-able to care for most.

So that I can gauge interest, please let me know if you might like to attend such tours here.
