Going on a whole month here. I reckon it's common for people to think they won't be here long until a month's passed and they're still here without a damn thing to show for it except a great appreciation for the food service industry in this city? We were lucky that Hong Kong was a port city, so some things weren't near as hard to get ahold of as in other places, but I'd forgotten what it's like to live like this. Forgot what it's like to need to find a job, too. I've only held two jobs in twenty six years. I keep thinking now wouldn't be a bad time to try something new, but I wouldn't even know where to start.

Okay, Serena loves other people, she's not that pressed about other dogs. I took her to the dog park, so she could socialize, and she was more concerned with catching fireflies than she was playing with the other dogs. I met this guy, though, who said there's this dog daycare I can enroll her in while I'm at work. He's pretty cool, we made a time to go and play basketball.

It is nice to get home a lot earlier than I used to with SVU. I can get home and have a beer and relax with Serena. She likes to play, too, and I am teaching her to play fetch. She's pretty smart. She loves to burrow under the covers on the bed, too. That is actually really cute. She sticks her head out when she's done messing with the blanket.
