I'm thinking I may look for another job but I seem to be struggling to find any active archaeology groups or sites that I could work on. As much as I love working at the museum it can be awfully boring at times.

Charlie
Happy valentines day, baby.

So they have confirmed the body that was found in August was Richard III's. That is something fascinating and while it isn't my area of expertise it would be something I would have loved to have been involved with. A discovery that big would be amazing.

I still do not really understand this technology but Hello, my name is Lady Morgana. The last time I wrote here, I did not yet have my bearings, but I would much enjoy meeting the subjects of this place those of you who find yourselves in the same predicament as myself.

[ARTHUR]
I'm sorry I disappeared on you, Arthur. It was awful for me to tell you what I did and then leave before I could finish what I was saying. I suppose I was still just frightened by what had happened and what was happening. I am still rather uncertain as to whether or not I should tell you what I was going to say.

Do people have any recommendations for anything for me to watch or read? There are so many options I don't know where to start.

Chloe Frazer
Hi,

I'm wondering if you would like to have a coffee or something at some point? Truth be told you seem really interesting and you're one of the few people I've actually talked to here besides Charlie and I wouldn't mind getting to know you some more.

Ellie.

New York's Museum of Natural History is rather brilliant! Love a good museum; sorry, of course, to the curator for changing some of the displays. They were just a bit wrong, but fixed now! No charge, that's how I work!

Also, to the lovely family on 6th street. Loved your home, and your meal, thank you for letting me take your satellite dish. Probably should have explained that a bit more, but still! Wonderful news, it's doing wonders! Oh, you probably don't have this network. That's alright.

Had to borrow a couple of TVs from a pub down the street, they weren't too happy about that... watching some American Football. Don't worry all! Your team won! I'll have them back to you as soon as I solve this crisis!

I've decided I need to do more with my life here. I'm enjoying working at the museum but other than that I'm not doing much besides coming home and spending it with my boyfriend. Not that, that is a bad thing far from it at all I just feel like I could be doing more with my time than I currently am.

What do people do around here to relax anyway?

Why did someone tell me not to watch my movie.

So. I've been staring at the damn DVD cover for the last two hours and haven't been able to make up my mind so I'm going to throw it out to everyone who knows the movies I'm from.

Do I really want to watch Prometheus? And if I do watch it, am I going to need a lot of alcohol?

So I'm settling in, this place is certainly interesting. I can see a lot of similarities to my own Earth/time period but at the same time the differences are quite obvious too

I noticed there was some gods here which is fascinating - I studied, among other things, human mythology at college. This whole experience has opened up so many opportunities to me that I don't know where to begin.

[info]startinganew

I'm a little late actually introducing myself, but with all the new people around, I think an earlier introduction would have gotten missed by a lot of people. I'm Lee Adama, formerly of Caprica and the Colonial Fleet. I've been a pilot (my callsign was Apollo, which is frakking hilarious because there was a god named Apollo here), commander of a battlestar, politician, acting president, caveman... and I think being a caveman was the most rewarding. I'm up on the fourteenth floor, and although I've been here since the middle of October, I'm still getting used to living in a city again. After a couple of years on a battlestar and some time on my own on an Earth about 150,000 years ago, this whole city thing is frakked up. Here, I'm back to being a pilot because I'm good at it and it'll pay. It's been a damn long time since I got paid for that.

The main reason I'm writing this is because I know there are a bunch of us who were used to space travel and with all the new people around, there's bound to be some more of you out there. It helped me to be around people who understood that aspect of my life. Let me know if you're one too. We're a friendly bunch, for the most part. Don't let the sour face in the corner (Kara) or Jayne's smell drive you off.

I have to say this is rather interesting. So I've been essentially kidnapped, brought back in time to another Earth and I'm stuck here with little I can do about it while my team mates face an uncertain future, go through a discovery I've been chasing for years and years.

It was my dream and I won't see it fulfilled.

Anyway, Hello I'm Elizabeth or Ellie Shaw.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
