What an extraordinary day! And an extraordinarily long one. I pinched myself six times in my first hour of being here, to be certain that I wasn't dreaming. But I was told, very briefly, how to operate this machine, and also told that I might introduce myself. I'm Mrs. Anne Blythe, lately of Glen St. Mary, PEI. I've never been outside of Canada before now, and it tickles me to think about what Mrs. Lynde would say about me being in New York City.

Thor, are you and your friends on this network? Thank you for being so kind today. I've never had mead before, and I probably never will again, but it was an experience I won't soon forget.

I think the upcoming spring weather calls for a shopping trip. Who wants to come with?

I see Kate's already mentioned it here on the network, but I wanted to say it too. On March 9, 2009 Kate Beckett walked into my life. She arrested me for murder that I did not commit. Once I was free and the murder solved, she thought she'd be rid of me. Instead, I got to play the annoying, yet lovable sidekick as she had become the muse of my Nikki Heat novels. Here we are five years later in alternate New York and we are married and I'm still the sometimes annoying, still lovable sidekick and she is still my muse.

As he so lovingly reminded me today, apparently I've been putting up with Castle for five years. Where's my award?

So, Castle's birthday is in a couple weeks and I'm going to need a little help getting him to his party - and on some of the planning. It's not as elaborate as what I did last year but, to be fair, he's not injured and stuck at home. Though we can make it elaborate, I need the distraction.

I submitted an application to the NYPD today. It won't be like home, but I figured I need a job and Kenzi and I aren't getting enough cases to make it in New York just doing PI work.

After all these damn years, the full moons still sneak up on me now and then. I meant to ask this before yesterday, but I was too scatter-brained to remember. Are there any other shifters around? Werewolves? Were-anythings? Hard to keep track of all the new folks sometimes and I'm trying not to sme, but it'd be good to know if there are others.
