Perhaps reading my "source" material wasn't a very good idea. While it's good to be in complete understanding of what happens in my future, I'm finding it difficult to comprehend the detail and the intimacy of reading such a thing without having lived through it. And to think that Penelope -- ! Penelope and I, that is. I would have never imagined, never considered, never -- Penelope! I don't know what to think.

If this was my world, apparently I'd be 50 today. Thankfully I don't feel a day over 33.

My name is Deanna Troi, and I have been told that the two of you are in charge of the clinic and Youth Center here. I have been thinking about my future here and have been considering working either for the two of you or for SHIELD. After much thought, I have decided to not apply for SHIELD and look into working for the two of you.

I thought SHIELD would be too limiting and I don't want to limit the amount of people that I work so I believe that looking into work for both the Clinic and Youth Center would be in my best interest.

I hope this is acceptable and is there anything that I would need to do to ensure this?

Being in this time and place has furnished me with a number of curious experiences but I must say that this is the most curious of them all. While I am fascinated and even grateful for the wealth of memories and knowledge I have been gifted overnight, looking in the mirror this morning was a startling moment. It is one thing to receive decades of memories, it is quite another to see those decades etched on one's appearance.

Good morning, New York I have to say this wasn't the situation I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Of course given what I know I shouldn't be too surprised but a wormhole that pulled me across the country and very likely into an alternative reality wasn't on the list of things I was expecting. Of course the fact that there's superheroes in this one is surprising given the number of possibilities there are for alternative universes out there. I find myself grateful though that this universe is so familiar to the one I came from. Though, I do find that I have to admit the fact that I'm a fictional character here is odd. I've already googled this television show I'm on and I have to say there's some really interesting information on it especially about my future. Those pictures of half naked Oliver are good too.

I'm Felicity by the way and yes I know I'm babbling but that's a nervous habit of mine. So I did quiz the people at SHIELD and after awhile they did open up - there's Star Trek and Star Wars people here? That is AWESOME. I grew up watching those shows/movies with my family and they've always held a special place in my heart and they said people from the reboot were here too? I imagine there's a lot more people here that I can't wait too meet too for that matter. I'm not that good with people though but I want to meet you all and learn all about your worlds.

Now I suppose I should probably post this introduction post and figure out what other differences there are between my world and this one and explore the tower some more. Thankfully New York is set up the same so it won't be that hard to navigate and here I go again....

Right at this moment, nothing sounds better than a bottle glass of red wine, something that is actually terrible for you to eat, and I would say the Olympics, but I can't in good consciousness watch them, not with all that I've read about the hatred and prejudice that Russia is displaying towards homosexuals. So, I think I need something else to watch. Suggestions?
