Hey guys, it's Carol. One of the Carols. If anyone isn't aware, I'm your housing assistant. If anyone ever needs anything, just let me know. In any case, since it's Halloween, all of the floors are having a contest about who can decorate their floors and doors the best. We have some really stiff competition, but I think we can pull this off.

I'm thinking maybe we should have a theme. Suggestions? I was thinking maybe a theme of classic horror movies. Or maybe more modern classics. Less Dracula and Wolf Man and more Freddy and Jason kind of thing. I'm definitely up for hearing other suggestions if anyone has them.

Also, maybe you guys want to have a movie marathon? Since my roommate is gone, I've got all this space. We could do it at my place.

I find myself yearning for the mountains. Dwarves were not meant to live under the sky, we were made to live under the mountains, seeking the gifts of metals and precious stones that Mahal left within the earth and turning those things in objects of great beauty and usefulness. I am not ungrateful for the accommodations that have been provided. Mr Stark is a generous host and a fine example of the Men of this world but I miss the solidity of stone around me and the soaring halls of my ancestors.

Oh man, healing the old-fashioned way is sooooo sloooooooooow. You have no idea how much easier it is just to keep going until, BLAM! You find yourself back at the nearest New-U station with everyone razzing you for getting killed. That's my request for the tesseract - bring me a New-U station. Please. This healing thing is boring as all hell.

Shoutout to the Tony Stark of this world. Thanks for the job. Can't wait to get my hands on your vehicles.

I'm all for Halloween celebrations (although, I'm not quite sure I'm a fan of the leaf decorations in some of the hallways today) I was wondering if anyone had plans for a more traditional type of harvest celebration? Less costumes and skeletons, more candles and pies, that sort?

I was thinking of putting together a little dinner party. Perhaps over this Columbus Day weekend if no one has other plans, otherwise I could schedule it for sometime after. Just something nice and civilised. I've been here long enough to get to know you all a little, and I thought it might be quite nice.

Have you seen These articles? I think it's so strange that people are analyzing our lives and stories as though they might mean to be some social comment. I'm not sure I'd quite align the freedom of House Elves with Women's Liberation, but I thought you might like the articles.

It gets cold here earlier than at home. I might have to start living indoors like normal people. The technology here is still so weird to me. Fancier than I'm used to, but not as advanced as the highest end stuff from home. There are these little packets you bend and they get warm. Useful.

Now that I have recovered from my adventure, I would like to learn more about this place. Do monsters often take over the Tower or was that just a isolated incident?

I've been doing some reading on New York City and there appears to be a lot to see and do. Where should I begin? It's a bit overwhelming to be honest.

What is the organization you work for like? I've been looking at the information that's available about it as well as SHIELD but I'm not sure if I would fit in either place. I trust your judgement. Would SWORD be a good choice?

You know, having someone jaw your ear off with all his theories about every terrible thing that's ever going to happen to you is enough to make you miss the days when people only talked to you in bars to tell you to pay your tab or get the hell out. And I like to think I don't stand on ceremony - I'm a nice guy. Laid back. Friendly. But where I come from, if you come up to someone and start talking about all the ways you think they might bite it, it's assumed that you have what we might call intentions.

Anyway, Ridgewood's off the list for new neighborhoods. Probably should have figured a place that brags about its cemeteries wouldn't know how to pretend to be normal.
