Since I be sure by now we've all done good on those New Years resolutions, I guess now comes the question of what we'll all be doing without for Lent, n'est-ce pas?

I don't know if you've noticed the strange behavior of these Tower television sets. A few weeks ago, mine flickered on, and I thought it was a mere chance. And then a few nights ago, it happened again, and [...] well, I don't believe what I saw was meant for anyone to see. It had to be a nightmare, like the ones young River brought to our attention. And before you tell me to have my eyes checked, I think we might want to discuss the possibility of nightmares and their being televised for the world to see.

I believe this is a discussion that we might have with all present Jedi. Though, we must handle it with tact. More tact than I perhaps had as a Master in our universe.

All the snow about has given me plenty of time for workin', although I admit it gets a little hard doin' the carvin' out in the shop when my fingers are as cold as they are. I much prefer dealin' with the snow at the ranch than the cold in the city though.

We are headed to Rykers Island to collect samples and to perform an investigation of our own. There was an escape in the early hours of the morning. Explosives used are unidentifiable. And it would seem they have reason to believe that our particular skills would be of use.

My team is investigating the breakout that occured at Rykers this morning. It seems to be mostly small in scale with only two prisoners have not been accounted for, Milos Masaryk and Bruno Horgan.

I've been here nearly a week, and I managed to eat so much that I made myself sick. Worth every second. And I got to really see snow. There's a winter storm that shares my sister's name. She would have loved that.

For those of you who've been here a while, what should someone who spent the first twenty three years of his life in space see and do here? Earth didn't look anything like this for us. No cities. Not anymore.

The Daytona 500 is this Sunday, so anyone who likes racing or wants to see what it's all about should stop by my place about noon or so. I'll have food and a few cases of beer. I'm thinking about braving this stupid-ass cold weather and grilling out some hamburgers and I make them Alton Brown style so they're always good.

Security department meeting tomorrow morning, 8 a.m. sharp, before all the eggheads make their way in. It's just the usual monthly thing, but I need all hands on deck. Someone's gonna have to pick up the donuts, though, 'cause I did it last time and it's not my turn.

Well, the worst part of coming home was the snow. So much snow. I could tell that it was time to come home because I think that Mary Margaret would have flown the plane home Sunday night if she thought it would have gotten us home any faster. I have never seen a woman hug her children for so long. And then I hugged them for a slightly less time. Charleston knew how to treat us, and the weather was nice and there was no snow and there were beaches, but the best part was coming home to my kids, and sleeping in my own bed.

I loved seeing all the couples walking about on Valentines Day. Me, I spent it at home with a glass of wine and chocolates to myself. It was a good night....and now I have to say that things are surprisingly calmer at work. My boss is cooler now and we talk and have actual conversations to go over the advice that I will be writing for my column.

I know that its a bit late, but I had the most amazing Valentines Day with my son. It was nice to know that I wasn't spending it alone.
