Do you think it would be acceptable to attend a Halloween party as Edward? He seems to find the whole idea rather hilarious but I'm not sure he really classifies as a costume.

Mulder, I was thinking we should do something themed for Halloween. For you, me and William. He's a little young for trick or treating but there is the Halloween party here at the Tower.

I think it's about time I shared my acquired wisdom with younger generations.

Clint Barton's Life Advice for Children:

• Don't run away and join the circus too early. I'm not saying don't do it, but like, hold off as long as you can. If you make it to adulthood, it REALLY limits your bottoming-out options when you've already played that card.
  
  
• Purple is great. Wear as much purple as possible.
  
  
• Man cannot survive on shrimp chips alone. Or sour cream and onion pringles, gummi worms, and rock star lemonade alone.
  
  
• But you can if you also eat a spoonful of protein powder with it. And chase it with some of that vitamin-infused vodka. Because of nutrients.
  
  
• On second thought, don't wear purple. I wear purple. I don't need to be competing with a bunch of you for the rights to purple.
  
  
• It's a good idea to store emergency pants in several locations around the city. Especially useful for honeytraps that take an unexpected turn.
  
  
• Another note on Honeytraps: if her husband walks in, it may seem like a good idea to tell him that it's actually a surprise threesome for him because you heard he'd been having gay thoughts. It is not a good idea. Especially if her husband is a mafioso with no sense of humor.
  
  
• Actually I guess some of you should wear purple or they'll stop making it. A select few of you, wear purple. The rest of you, I don't know. Orange. It'll go well with the purple. Complementary colors.
  
  
• The freezer is a good place to store bills while you're deciding whether or not you're going to pay them. That way they don't get lost.
  
  
• Speaking of bills: a fake identity is a great way to get rid of credit card debt. Find a dead guy's social security number, shift your liabilities to your alter ego and bam! Debt free with no hassle.
  
  
• Alternatively: be judgment proof! Invest all of your money in worthless assets and things the government can't seize. I suggest Batman stickers, As Seen on TV things from Bed, Bath and Beyond, T-mobile sidekicks, and in-app purchases for Kim Kardashian's iPhone game.
  
  
• I guess really the lesson is. Talk to me if you're considering purple and we'll figure out whether or not purple is right for you.

I have decided what to be for Halloween! A motorcycle riding skeleton pirate with a parrot!

I consider myself to be a patient man. I can wait for the right moment, or wait for others to find theirs.

But I have watched two seasons of this "How I Met Your Mother" and I am beginning to think these children will have met their own wives or husbands by the time their father completes his story. Which, I feel I am no fool in saying, does not seem all that interesting to start.

Deciding on a costume for Halloween is more difficult than I thought it would be. How do you decide?

Easiest would be to go as myself. It is so weird seeing costumes that is supposed to look like my dress! Even weirder is a sexy Olaf costume. That is one sentence that I never want to write again.

Busy? I have a location in sight. The seller's desperate to get rid of the property to get up the cash. I think it's about time we stopped mooching off Pinky anyhow.

For a long time, I didn't get Halloween at all. We didn't have Halloween when I was growing up. I mean, we did, but it was different than what we see now, I guess. It wasn't as big. Or maybe I just didn't pay much attention to it. And then after I di I became I died, it mattered even less. A lot of things mattered less then. I used to watch kids get dressed up in costumes and go trick or treating, and trade candy with each other, and I'd watch them and try to get their attention, but no one ever saw me, so it just was one more thing that I hated.

I didn't get why everyone always wanted to dress up as something else, just for one night, to pretend to be someone else, to be special. And it's stupid, looking back, because I was just like that. I wanted to be anyone besides who I was and I pretended like it didn't hurt to be invisible or for people to pass me off like some sort of joke or to never belong anywhere, but I would've done anything to just be someone else. To fit in like everyone else.

So I get it now. And maybe it's not a snowstorm, but if it's fun... Well, that's kind of right up my alley.



I can't promise there won't be snow that night, though. Just fyi. Or maybe I'll wait for November. I mean, maybe the snow will wait. Right.

So it's Halloween almost! That happy time of year when people come out of the woodwork to wear problematic costumes that we're all supposed to not notice are totally and completely unacceptable. Hey, newsflash-a person's culture isn't a costume. "Sexy Cantina Girl" or "Sexy Geisha", not cool. Goes double for "Illegal Alien" (you're not clever) or don't even get me started on the "Suicide Bomber" costume I saw ON A CHILD.

Seriously, there are so many things you can wear that are CLEVER, being racist, sexist or homophobic is not only unnecessary, it's demeaning and stupid. So don't do it.

That said, I was pretty pleased with my and Sam's costumes, even if only for the party. Too much make up for one Sam.

Tell me the worst costumes you guys have seen. Let's make a list of good and bad costume ideas for those floundering so they don't make a problematic choice.

Halloween, huh? Sounds kind of fun! We don't really have anything like that, but what's the harm, right?

I mean, I could always dress up in a really cool costume. I could also just be a Super Saiyan and call that my costume too. I kind of like that idea!
