The Doorway: a panfandom game

I was hoping I might be able to get some advice from the network at large. What kind of jobs does this world have for a wizard? I can't just sit around all day. I had rather planned to go into research but I doubt that's feasible here. Pity really. I had some interesting ideas that I was discussing with Nicolas Flamel about the uses of dragon blood.

Anyway, I finished at Hogwarts only a couple of months ago back home and I did rather well on my NEWTs - Outstandings across the board. I'm skilled at Transfiguration, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Alchemy, Herbology, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. I was a prefect and then i was honoured to be named Head Boy. I'm an excellent dueller and I was the British Youth Representative to the Wizengamot in my final year at school.

As much as I'm behind going out and meeting with people who are dealing with White Event aftermath and new powers, I was wondering if there was a plan for reaching people who have no idea they can get help. Or that we even exist. It feels a little half-measure if we chip away at a list one by one. There has to be a way to get a public message out.

My position at the museum has been abruptly terminated.

It is no fault of mine that some children lack any regard for history, nor can I be blamed for their instructor's failure to maintain control of her class.

If you cannot implement order, it is absurd to blame those who achieve it for the manner in which they choose to do so.

UPDATE: Connors will be released, officially on Friday. He'll have the weekend to review the terms of his work release and grow accustomed to the surveillance requirements. Most importantly, he'll have a few days with his family.

But that means that next week it when the real fun begins. Connors will be taking over as lead of the project, once he familiarizes himself with the centre and the staff, and obviously, he'll get the chance to meet all of you. If you have any questions or concerns about how this is going to work -- ask me now so we can get some of that out of the way.

Additionally, thus far we've been a pretty closed group, given the nature of the project and how personal it is for some individuals involved, myself included, but there is a lot of untapped talent with the refugees, and I was wondering how everyone felt about opening it up and asking for volunteers or recruits. Obviously, we don't have to talk about the details of the motives behind the project, but we're all a team now so let's start hashing some of this out.
