Unlike Some Sherlock Holmeses before me, when it comes to writing a blog post I am perfectly capable of writing my own.
Sir Anthony Baskerville, Lord over the Hercule Poirot Fairground & Racetrack in Atlantic City, recently lost his prized Greyhound, Shilling. He believed the dog to be stolen by residents of Potts Tower (who are innocent, of course, and therefore their names have been omitted.) After a few letter exchanges, the case was forwarded to us, the X-Factor Detective Agency, and last week we went to investigate. It was Jefferson, really, who broke the case wide open, checking up on the track's other dogs as he did, after Joan noticed the empty kennels. As It turned out, it was all one grand misunderstanding: two other dogs were scheduled to be picked up from the track by Hastings Home for Retired Greyhounds. and the Greyhound placement and rescue centre accidentally collected Shilling along with the others. She was returned safely and soundly to her home at Poirot. So it's a job well done, all around, and we were all back on Friday after only a few hours work. |
