What do you do when you like someone, but not for your own personal gain?

I don't understand.

I mean, I assumed I just liked him because he was incredibly powerful and he could alter the fabric of reality, and that could be fun. And like-- yes, I did briefly consider stealing his powers and leaving him stranded. And I did sort of try to manipulate his boyfriend into breaking up with him once just because I thought it would be interesting. And --

But then he was gone for a week and I was sad about it.

I even tried to help him with a problem I didn't create. Just because. With no other objective. I just wanted him to not accidentally destroy the world or die or anything.

Is that normal?

Good evening, I'm Leia and I have been here a few days and thought it was perhaps time that I introduced myself on this network. Thank you to those who have already welcomed me here, it is something I greatly appreciated.

I'm quite excited to announce that I'll be a full-time teacher this fall. I've signed up to teach Chinese, Human mythology, Modern Dance, and Music Appreciation and I would love to invite people to sign-up and take any of those four subjects.

I have been doing a great deal of research for music appreciation and my goal is to bring into the class music from around the world. So many of the cultural histories represented make their way into our music in my time and it is delightful to have greater access to the music from Earth that was in a less altered state than it is when I am from, and I'm excited about sharing it with students.

You know, it's kind of nice to arrive in a different dimension and have an apartment all ready for you.

Only there are a hell of a lot of baby pictures among the pictures of my wife and daughter.

I have a question and I think that this is a good place to ask this question.

The only school that I have really attended has been my cadet training. It is my understanding that we are required here if we are under eighteen to attend school. I have registered for courses that seemed like ones that I would enjoy taking.

What does one do with education here? How does it work? This may sound like an unusual question, but in my world...schools did not really exist as they do here. We had other things to worry over. Really, the only school that existed was cadet training. I finished that after three years of training. I know that there is something called the internet here that many people use to do research, but...it feels strange to me to just read something online when I can speak to people here about their experiences. I would not always want to trust the information that I read just written where everyone can read it.

I know that above I stated I do not like reading about information online. I have read more about your world, though. You explained a lot for me, though. If there is a chance that your demons could come here, I think I have an understanding of how to fight them. Holy water, iron for ghosts, memorizing Latin words for exorcisms, burning bones if necessary. What other advice could you give about these creatures? I would say it sounds frightening, but...I do understand these horrors, more so than I'd like to.

I hope that you don't mind my asking. How difficult...is it to learn Latin? I do not know any other language besides this one. I have never thought that languages could be a weapon before.
