There's been quite a bit more information announced on the next installment of my universe. I might not be dead, that's very exciting to know. It's a strange experience, seeing the future where despite my best efforts the world is being torn apart by forces beyond its control. And I'm certain many of you here can relate to that sensation.

It's humbling.

It's just the two of us now. I can't say that I'm surprised that she'd leave. Not that this time was by her own choice.

I think it's amazing how quickly times goes here. It seems it wasn't that long ago that I arrived, and now I'm working and Anna and I are trying to figure out what classes she should take and I think that I myself might take a few, just to help me figure out what is what here.

I do like the idea of the poetry class, though. Would we be writing poetry or just learning about it? What would you rather do? Write poetry, read it, or learn about it? I think I would like to read it, because I don't know if I have the talent to write it.

It's been a difficult week with all our recent losses, hasn't it? Sometimes it feels like we're helpless against the Tesseract's whims -- but I want everyone to know that doesn't mean we have to feel hopeless. If you're feeling that way, please know that you are not alone, and that there are people you can talk to about it. I'm one of those people, although by no means am I the only one. My door is always open if you need a listening ear. If we haven't met yet, I'm very much looking forward to fixing that. We all come from different worlds, but we're in this one together, which makes us a kind of family. And nothing matters more to me than helping my family, any way I can.

I've recently taken on a position as an ESD teacher and advisor, so I'm also available for any current or prospective students who would like to talk, whether you're in my advising group or not. In particular I'd like to highlight the course I'll be offering: Modern Education in this World. Some of you may have been unable to access a formal (or even an informal) education in your homeland; others may find their studies were specific to a world or a time period very different from this one. My course will help students like you pursue the knowledge & skills necessary in this world to pursue a secondary education or a job or whatever your goals may be.

Having lived in both a "fairy tale" land and a world much like this one -- having been a princess, a wanted bandit, and a fourth grade teacher -- I know a thing or two about adapting and transitions. I hope I can help some of you with yours, too. Lessons will be customized to suit each student's background and needs, so if you're interested, I'd love to hear from you about your situation!

Just when I think I'm used to this place...

Today my scissors disappeared, along with a ream of printer paper. I couldn't find them ANYWHERE.

Until I went to the 13th floor balcony after dinner, where I found the paper and the scissors quite cozy with a large rock. The rock tried to smash my toe when I picked up the paper, and then the scissors went for my hair when I picked them up. I would suggest that if you see them, you not bother them, as they're quite happy together.

I lose my friend, my girlfriend, my savior. But somehow this universe sees fit to endow me with a small goat. It now lives in Old Lace's environs. New Lace has all she needs there. And though I do not wish to feel anything but grief and anger, she has brought some small measure of joy into my morning. The grass and rocks make for excellent play.
