We've had a lot of change-ups again in recent months, so I've updated the list of our comings and goings. If you're new to it, I keep track of the mutants who have been brought (or sent away) by the tesseract, but I don't keep track of how many times since some people seem to be really popular with the blue box. We're the only ones who can view this since some people (including me) are uncomfortable with the idea of making it easier for anyone else to keep tabs on mutants. SHIELD did a hell of a job with those trackers.

Huh. Fourth of July. Haven't done that in a while. Mind you, haven't been on Earth on a Fourth of July in a while. I'm pretty sure I spent the last Fourth on some backwater colony world covered in bug guts. I mean I was covered in bug guts, not the planet itself. Then again, after Drake and Vasquez got through with things, pretty much everything in the vicinity was covered in bug guts so I suppose the first sentence worked pretty well.

I'll have to find myself a bar and some beer tomorrow and watch the fireworks. Celebrate the fact I'm not covered in bug guts.

Happy birthday, America. You're a teenager among nations. The whole city feels like one. But I won't mock. I missed Russia Day abroad. Nothing like celebrating independence from yourself. Русский Стандарт for those who want it.

Nothing is going to dim my smile today. It's beautiful and breathtaking outside. Has anyone been to see a fountain? They are ice sculptures. The Dandelion Fountain may be my favorite. I don't care if I've used almost a quarter of my phone's hard drive taking photographs all over the city. This looks different than winter. It's more than winter. And with electricity and all, we don't have to worry about everyone freezing.

I'm glad we're all here, yes even you shy doubting person.

Are you wearing red and white today? I may have gone shopping for a few things for you. I was shopping for me, but I saw this shirt, and there were trousers, and the sleeves would look so sexy rolled up on you.

Also, are you sure Oscorp isn't evil or anything? I only ask because SHIELD turned out to be evil, and you got yourself detained twice in the last six months, and I don't know if I trust some other company I vaguely remember boys saying bad things about. And I'd have to go in there and tear them down if they did anything to you.

Today makes the 238th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independance. Marking the formation of the United States of America as we know it today and our freedom as a sovereign nation under God. Today we celebrate and remember that. And in light of the recent tragedies in Washington DC, now more than ever I think it’s important that we hold in our hearts the importance of the declaration, and what it stands for above all else: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

But it’s not just what happened in DC that we need to overcome. Because HYDRA is not the only enemy that has infiltrated the institutions that makes this country great. Ways that we must continue to dismantle and take down so that each and every American can celebrate their unalienable Rights.

Discrimination is unconstitutional. Deciding what others are allowed to do and not do, enforcing or restricting beliefs is unconstitutional, restricting the rights a person has to his or her own body, his unconstitutional as is interfering with a person’s right to love and a person’s right to marry if they choose. A person’s right to live in this country or anywhere else.

We need, every day, to celebrate our successes as a country, but we must never cease to reevaluate our failures and disappointments. We have a duty to all our fellow citizens of this country and of the world to lead, to accept, to do our best and to strive to rid the world of all it’s enemies: be them secret organisations, criminals or harmful ideologies and inequalities.

So, I’d like to wish you, my friends, Avengers, SHIELD agents and my fellow refugees, a very heart-felt and sincere congratulations on what you’ve all accomplished these past few weeks, and these past few years, and I implore you to keep going. We’ve all still got work to do.

A winter wonderland for the fourth of July? Well, better than the hail and tropic storm they were predicting.

That said...what does one do on the Fourth of July?

Will there still be the display of fireworks for joy of freedom with all the snow? I had very much wished to see them.

Ugh got caught out in the snow and now I'll probably get sick. It was fun the first time but now it's just getting ridiculous.

So I got proposed to on Sunday? And yet kind of.. not. Some guy came out of nowhere, picked me up and twirled me around and then suddenly, there was a flash mob dancing and then.. yeah, okay, he did propose to me and it just caught me off guard and so at first, I was like "I'm only 17!" and then I started telling him how on-the-spot this was, and then I got a "hey, its just a prank for the Internet!" before I could go any further on how it wasn't nice to put someone on the spot like that.

At least this time, it wasn't dumb high school boys who thought it was funny to put invites to dates in my locker on a yearly basis on every first of April -- lol because it's a funny joke to ask someone out? Not that I was ever interested so I guess their pranks fell flat. So I guess, moral of the story here is that it's never nice to prank someone by toying with feelings.

So that was a weird Sunday, but at least it was an awesome pool party and thank you to everyone for coming and helping! And now I'm the only one left in this flat that has yet to turn 18 (with the exception of Batman but I'm pretty sure he's not complaining.. no, in fact, he's just sitting next to me and making chirping sounds) but two more months and I'll be there! August 20, just fyi. If you want to pencil that in. I'm sure you want to pencil that in.

But anyway, yeah.. happy SNOWY fourth of July! Who wants to build a snowman???

Since I find myself currently unemployed, I have been looking in the market for a new job. Prospects are, understandably limited for a scientist of my particularly qualities and also the questionable legal status I have found myself in post-SHIELD. Otherwise it might make the most sense to look for an academic job.

But what do you know of Oscorp? Or barring them, Stark Industries? Oscorp on paper seems more of a fit for biomedical research, but, I've had a few people express vague concerns over them? I suppose, I would like to know a bit more detail on them.

Hello. I would like to make a formal apology to everyone in this city for the trouble that I caused this morning while in Times Square. I was unexpectedly frightened, and reacted very badly to that fright. I understand that the snow and ice and cold caused delays in transportation, that some emergency response teams were slowed, and that people were caught unaware in inadequate clothing. For this I deeply and humbly apologize, and only hope that I can be forgiven. I'm very truly and extremely sorry. I hope that the fireworks that were planned for tonight's celebrations don't have to be postponed, and that despite the snow and the cold, that you were all able to celebrate this wonderful holiday.

Thank you for finding me. I don't even know what drew me to the Statue of Liberty, only that I remembered seeing it while out the other day and it was the only place I could think of that was safe.
