I was told I was supposed to have a name, and foundling wouldn't work, so as an introduction I guess I will say that my name is Una, which means 'white wave', and Dorian, which means 'from the sea'. Both names are very fitting for me, as I was born in the sea. I fought very hard to come to land, and now I am here. This land is very different from mine. Both of mine.

Since advertising for assistants seems to be all the rage and I understand there are a number of people now looking for work, I shall join in. I am looking for one person (full-time) or two people (part-time) to work in my shop. The shop is located in Greenwich Village and I would expect you to work standard hours. Preference will be given to people with knowledge of or a genuine interest in potions and/or herbology, however those subjects may manifest in the world you are from, or a genuine interest in learning about those things. Applicants must be over 18.

Okay so I got the next 4 days off for the Fourth of July. Anyone up for a barbecue and fireworks?

I heard that Central Park is doing a fireworks display tomorrow night. I'm thinking of hosting a BBQ and then heading over there. Anyone interested?

I love it when celebrations consist of beer and explosions. And I mean that with absolute sincerity. For once.

Pity it's an American holiday designed to make people like me cry over over sour (and hopefully fermenting) grapes, but beggars can't be choosers.

Good Merlin, I'd completely forgotten about this compass I found at the sale that SHIELD were holding last month. I picked it up before I left, and then immediately left it to sit in my top drawer for almost a month. It's rather large, but it seems to be accurate. Dad would definitely like it, as he's really into shit like that, especially if it looks like it belongs on a boat . I think I'm going to go out later to do a few triangulation tests to see how well it works. If anyone wants to come along, I'll buy ice cream.

I believe that we spoke previously, and a Supernatural Task Force was mentioned, which I then declined to join because of my association with SHIELD and the conflict of interest that might have arisen out of that. I am no longer with SHIELD, and while I have no doubt that I will be questioned regarding my part in it, I see no reason not to make myself available to you and the rest of the taskforce, should it still exist.

I'm afraid I did something terribly stupid.

Is it possible to save swiss steak, after you accidentally put dishwashing liquid into the pan? I mean, I didn't tip the bottle into the pan, I put water into the container I use for my morning coffee before I pour it into the coffee maker and there was some soap in it, and now I think I've ruined some perfectly good cuts of meat. Would I be able to throw out the cooking liquid and rinse off the steak and sort of almost start over again?

You know what sucks? What sucks is your girlfriend breaking up with you because you work for Tony Stark. Because that's sort of what it amounted to. My sort of boss sends me on a very important mission and I spend a week on a boat with Johnny Storm, and she decided that she can't be with me. It's bullshit. I really liked her and it's bullshit.
