I've joined a local Stitch and Bitch group. It's rather jolly fun, though they do have a tendency to ask some rather searching questions. Still, as they are questions that I really ought to have answers for, I'm rather glad they asked. They have also declared using magic to do the knitting to be cheating and I'm to knit by hand like the rest of them.

Perhaps the lesson is is that one should not be surprised an organisation sporting an eagle on the door of their vehicle is of an allegedly less than savoury nature. For my part? I wouldn't mind meeting one of them.

So the tesseract is gone and the WSC is taking refugee facilitation away from SHIELD and giving it to me. Do you understand what that means? It means that shadey government organisations are willingly handing over more responsibility for peoples lives to me.

Perhaps I'm having a bit of cultural confusion, and perhaps someone has already pointed this out, but I find that this "Rising Tide" logo strikes me as some sort of surfing or beach community. Or perhaps one that wants to stand against "climate change".

For a change all is well in the land of Garcia because I got the job! I start Monday as part of the NYPD's Technical Assistant Response Unit. Sure I'll be on desk duty for a few weeks because of the shooting in my world (have to get medical clearance once I heal up a bit more in other words) but I'm just happy to finally do something besides set up my small scale home office and watch TV.
