So as you guys might have heard, I'm no longer with SHIELD as a researcher. I'm helping out with SHIELD's Education Service Division classes. I'm teaching Algebra I & II, English Lit (I don't know how that happened), and Genetics.

Jane helped me out with getting in at Empire State University, where I'm teaching Introduction to Biochemistry & Applied Nuclear Physics.

In between all of this, I have a private study session with one of the refugees.

You are both more than welcome to assist me in these classes, I told both ESU and ESD that I would provide my own TA. Just let me know if you're interested.

I'm sorry I didn't confirm sooner, you can stop freaking out now but I wasn't checking this and I was too busy trapped in flashbacks grieving to go finding and telling everyone who'd care to know. Yes, Charles and Magnus from my world were taken. No, I don't know why SHIELD didn't tell us. Yes, that means now they're dead. Please don't ask what Yes, I know that for certain.

For the rest of the week, if you have questions about anything to do with ESD, or are in my advisory group, please direct them to Ororo. She'll also determine who the substitute is for my classes. I'll be back when I can after.

I just got an invitation and a ton of beautiful dresses to the Todashi Shoji show on the 6th. This is so crazy. These dresses are priceless. Well, I'm sure not priceless, but each one is stunning. I have to pick one. That's like asking someone to just eat one m&m.

I believe I will be doing a pamphlet for new refugees who are unfamiliar with the modern age. What did you find difficult upon your arrival here?

FILTERED TO MARIA HILL:

I've completely my thorough investigation of Jasper Sitwell's financial records. A good deal of it was your typical run of the mill living expenses. I have left this out for brevity's sake.

From 1989-1993, Agent Sitwell had a bank account in Gloria, TX. Every month, he made a substantial transfer to his mother's account while he was in Kuwait. In 1994, he changed to a military bank but those payments to his mother's account continued until 1999 when she died. After that, payments were made to an account in UAE. At the time it was closed in 2003, there was several thousand dollars in it. In 1997, he transfer to a DC bank where he stayed until 2003 where he fell completely off the financial paper trails.

Obviously, this was not the end of Agent Sitwell. Instead, he was on an extended, deep cover mission in Kabul, Afghanistan. He had a joint bank account with Rachel Loerschter under their cover names. When Jasper left that mission, he was presumed dead and everything went black for him to join SHIELD. The other account was granted to Loerschter. All evidence points to Sitwell and Loerschter actually being married. There are legal documents for it. She is CIA, so I could not find any public records on her.

He then popped back up in 2006 with a new social security number and has been banking in New York City since then. He purchased his condo after the battle of New York City when the market was scrap. He does not have any other major assets. Unless you include a $700 pet bed from a specialized company in NYC. I checked it out with Agent Hand. It's legitimate.

I did find one other thing of note: a medical side-note that I could not find much information about in the normal channels. Medical records are much harder to break into; they are not usually on a mainframe connected to the network due to patient confidentiality laws, but it should be noted that neither the Veterans Affairs, nor Jasper Sitwell, paid for an extensive medical procedure.

I believe that it would be in my best interests to find a job. I have discovered that I do not do as well as I would like with so much free time on my hands. There seems to be so much to choose from? What would your suggestions be?

The last few days have been trying in ways I never expected. I know I'm not the only one who's struggled lately, nor will I be the last.

My son was here for a year and just over two months. I remember the day we met like it was just yesterday. I'd been told who his father was in his world, but neither of us knew what to do here. He was from a world where his father had died, and I knew I'd never had a kid. We existed in a limbo for a while, neither of us sure what the other wanted or expected but both craving a relationship we didn't think we would ever have. One day he called me Dad.

This apartment feels empty without him now. It never mattered to me that he wasn't from this world. He was still my kid. That was what mattered. And I know, without a doubt, that my life is better for having known him. The time we had wasn't enough, but if not for the situation we've found ourselves in, we wouldn't have had any time at all. It wasn't enough, but what we had was a blessing. I wouldn't be who I am if he'd never come here. No matter how difficult it is to look at his bedroom door and know I'm the only one here now, that will never change how lucky I was for this chance.

One of my best friends said to me a few weeks ago that the tesseract doesn't make life any more uncertain than it already was, and I think he's right. It's a complication none of us thought we'd deal with, but life itself is already uncertain and complicated. People I've loved have been taken from me too soon for a variety of reasons, and I've left people I loved behind too. What I've learned from all of this is how important it is for me to be present and unafraid of what tomorrow might bring. If I'd held back with James, I wouldn't have had as much time with him. That's the lesson I'm taking away from this, to love without restraint, to let people touch my life while we're here, because every single person I've met has something to show me.

That's my solution. I don't know what anyone else's will be, but I sincerely hope you find what makes sense for you, and what can give you the greatest amount of peace while we're here.

I have spent the past few days exploring the city and I have to say it is certainly complicated to find your way around. I seem to have lost count of the number of times I had to ask someone for directions. Thankfully, someone showed me how to use this google maps thing? That is certainly useful to have.

In other news, I have been considering applying to SHIELD as perhaps some sort of Field Agent or the like but I'm not so sure about that. I don't know what other options there would be for me here.

I felt like I should write all of you again and thank you for the welcome you gave me. I have since then read the novels as Albus suggested and while I feel I know all of you better I am so so sorry that you had to go through all of that.

Also, as we are fictional here the Statue of Secrecy isn't in effect but I'm wondering how free you are with your magic? I have been hesitant to use it so far as I wasn't sure how the locals would react to it.

Harry, I'm so sorry for leaving you with your relatives, for not listening to you about the Philosopher's Stone. I know there is nothing I can do about it but I feel I must apologise for my future actions.

They questioned me today. Have they talked to you? I don't know what they were hoping to find out but it was rather disconcerting. I have nowhere near the Force sensitivity that you do but even I could tell they're hiding something.
