[Dyson]
Lets go have a snow ball fight. And make a snow man and then come back and have hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Okay. If my life wants to throw crazy on top of crazy at me, please let this place at least have a Columbia or Brown U. And less things that try to kill me.

Been a long time since I've had a dream that wasn't in English.

Wouldn't have pegged it for being lost in the middle of Russia when I had one, but there it is. No more heavy reading before bed, I'm going to spend the whole day disoriented after that.

Any ESD students who want to group up for Saturday's Winter Jam, please meet in the Tower lobby no later than 10:15 am. The event is free, and you won't have to pay the subway fare if you're part of the ESD group! Save your spending money for the market instead.

I've also made "arrangements" arrangements so that I can sign off on activities that they want signed off on. Just be aware that you'll be subject to my personal monitoring for your physical safety as part of my chaperoning.

Afterward, we'll come back to warm up and relax in the PTYC with some hot cocoa and maybe a video game mini-challenge if everyone's thumbs have thawed out.

We'll, this isn't Yale. But I guess New York City is a suitable alternative. This is something out of Sam's comics, but I'll deal.

Who do I talk to about making sure my education continues? I am not going to be a Lima loser college dropout just because I'm in a different universe.

I have a situation and it's name is John Hart. He wants in on the action but he's not exactly the play nicely with others type of person so, trust me, you do not want him as an agent which is good because he doesn't want to be one.

He's a good operative when he's focused and has appropriate supervision. He's good at infiltration and spying. Hell, the Agency was basically one big collection of con artists, snake oil salesmen and shills. It's also probably a good idea to find something for him to do before he gets bored and decides to entertain himself and SHIELD has to shoot him in the head. He's decided I'm the one who's going to do that. Find him a job, that is, not shoot him in the head. Though there are times I wouldn't have said no to that either. We have a history. Which you probably already know about.

So what's SHIELD's policy on freelance consultants of the John Hart variety?

I should probably let you know I'm thinking about moving out next week. That house we're fixing up for the X-men, it's just about done. Stormy and I even went furniture shopping.

I picked out curtains.

An' I guess I got a question for you too, see. I saw Carol showed up, and I know she ain't the one you know, but are you two getting on okay? I mean I guess I'm asking 'cause Jean

There's a portrait artist, his name is Nelson Shanks and he's exhibiting at Berry Hill until money. Word around the Morgan is that I simply must see his work so I think I'll stop along today and have a lot, if anyone is interested.

I should tell you, I'm going away for the weekend. Only to Chicago, and I will be back on Monday if I don't die of exposure. I could see you tonight, if you're not terribly busy. I'd like to, anyway.

Tickets booked. As for the weather -- well the highs are dismal and the lows are depressing but it'll be nice.
[Pepper Potts (616)]
Turns out I did not need an alibi, but thank you all the same. Could you forward anything current on the Chicago accounts to me? I thought Tony and I might make a stop before our flight back to New York on Monday

» Hey.
» What's up?

[info]mygodhasahammer in [info]thedoorway

Friends of the Tesseract and SHIELDwardens of this network.

I have so much I must say to all of you that I scarcely know where to begin.

I am humbled at the good will aid that has been shown to Asgard and the realms these past months. The Realms were in a state of chaos that would have taken Asgard nearly months to regain otherwise. In two months time, we made significant inroads and secured key encampments in Asgard's sister realms Alfheim and Vanaheim. We have brought calm to Nidavallir and even Jotunheim. And with the events of Sunday, diplomats have been able to negotiate a peace with Musphelheim and appease Hel for quite some foreseeable time. More, we have survived the Convergence and prevented the destruction of the nine realms. As best I can determine, having been there personally since, Svarthalfheim, from whence the dark elves came is no further organized threat and, truly, the next Convergence should be much less perilous without them. It is also nearly 5000 years away. We have been more victorious than even I could have hoped, and it was an honor to serve the fight for peace with you.

But in every victory there is some sadness and loss. Asgard has suffered much and her drinking halls are bright with mourning and remembrance for those who have fallen in our war, and those who fell in an attack by the dark elves which breached Asgard this time last week. My own mother, the Fair Lady, Queen Frigga was among those to fall in defense of peace and all that we hold dear and her loss is still very fresh. My mother was a wise and noble woman and every bit the match to guiding force of the All-Father. She was the rare balance of the feminine and the fierce. Maternal and caring to her family and people, but unwavering in her devotion to justice, and order. Asgard could not have asked for a dearer Queen, nor I a better mother. She shall be deeply missed.

In Asgard, there is a custom. A week after the body is sent by boat to join the spirit in Val's halls, that those remembering the fallen gather in sjaund, for discussions of estates but more, in remembrance over the sjaund, the funereal ale. As part of the court of Asgard, the Lady Frigga has nothing to give, though spent her whole life giving so much more.

I know many of you did not know my mother and cannot say to what degree Asgard has touched your lives in what I hope to be a positive manner. but I invite you regardless. Tonight we shall drink freely and fondly at Sam's in memory of the Lady Frigga.

Should you leave before then, we shall do the same on Saturday for my brother Loki's sjaund.

The only real problem I am having with this world is that I miss my son. I spent a year at Starfleet Medical not too long ago, and I allowed Wesley to remain on the Enterprise, and that was painful enough. This not knowing if he'll ever join me here is worse. The only record I have of him is a television show I can't bring myself to watch yet. Although I have seen some of what the actor who portrayed him has done with his free time on the internet, and I must say that if I were his mother, I would be proud of him.

This battle... Is this normal and something we should be concerned about? The people on the streets didn't seem all that worried and everyone seemed to be pretty organised from what I can tell.

Hestia, Obi-Wan, The Doctor
Do people disappear from here often and how do they do that? I thought there wasn't a known way to return home.

[info]rubythewolf in [info]thedoorway

All right so I think I'm roughly caught up on everything. In this world I'm on a television show and apparently my character hasn't been seen so far this season. That's a bit rude of them isn't it? I wonder if it means I can make it as an actress. Get famous!

I was also here before, but then I left and obviously now I'm back. The whole not remembering part sucks, but hey people seem happy to see me so there's a plus!

Um. This is so weird for, but I guess if people know or could eventually find out from google I might as well let it be known that I'm a wolf. Or I suppose werewolf is a better term for it. I won't hurt anyone againor anything, but might as well clear the air right?

You said there's a house? Are we setting up the school again? Logan said we're always X-Men. Are we right now? Should we be worried about Magneto? I need answers and no one seems to like the idea of me telepathically plucking the ones I need out. I'm not usually this left out of things. I was Scott's partner, I was Xavier's favorite (let's be real here).

I'm restless. What can I do to help?

Well, it was nice to get a snow day from work this Tuesday but I almost wish I could have gotten a snow week. Because whoever decided that the Upper East Side would be the ones without the snow plows for a good while until after the snow started freezing clearly wanted most people there to have one! Or sue the city.

It's not that I'm not used to seeing snow but seeing it in Salt Lake City, compared to New York City, there's a huge difference. Like work wasn't that far away. I just had to walk a bit but that walk.. thanks to the Great Salt Lake effect, we'd get a ton of snowfall, probably more inches than New York City may have seen. (Maybe? I'm missing more than a decade of years between now and the 90s.) Definitely more than this, and thanks to the lake, freezing was rare.

I miss it. Salt Lake City. Probably the longest I ever stayed in one spot.

And apparently having less hours thanks to the bad weather has contributed to me watching a whole lot of Weather Channel while baking, hence the sudden need to talk about it. I should probably be watching something to catch me up on pop culture instead.
