A week. It's still hard to believe.

I'm having a few issues finding equivalents. Food, medicines, measurements, let alone law. However, there is something wonderfully exciting about discovering the things I do like. I'm really enjoying Austen, the seafood is excellent and I've re-discovered a childhood joy of ice skating.

You were right about Glimmer being interesting. She is definitely going to require a lot of extra-curricular help. Have clubs formed among the student body?

I have to ask, is there a way to be exempted from some of the lessons at school? I am more than happy, in fact I want to, take the lessons in living in today but the others - maths, english, history and so forth that seem to be offered as well I have all tested out of and am in fact qualified to teach. I just don't know if it would be worthwhile taking said classes again.

In other news I did manage to gain part time employment at the local library shelving books. While it isn't exactly what I would have liked to do (teach) it is something. I did find on my first shift there that I got easily distracted by the books I was supposed to be putting away though.

I am slowly getting used to this time but I still continue to find things so unusual, so different to what I am used to. Does this ever get any easier?

These people are starting to get really annoying. I didn't ask to be here- none of us did. We're not stealing anything. But it is sort of more- They should probably all be happy they didn't end up in our worlds.

Oh sure, we're definitely stealing their world. What, with our improving the local economy buy paying for goods and services and not using any government money since our room and board is being paid by the generous Mr. Stark.

As if having weird fans put Mars Bars in my bag wasn't annoying enough, I come back from a day of spending my hard earned coffee shop money to see a sign like that. Perfect.

Okay.

It has taken me some time to get to this point, but my curiosity has gotten the better of me. I was on the fence about what I did/didn't want to know about what happened after I died. It's from a world that I was no longer a part of, so I wasn't sure if I felt like I should know anything at all. But from what I've been able to figure, there are children of Roman gods running around which is... fine, I guess? But sort of outside of what I'm familiar with.

So does anyone want to fill me in? You would officially be deemed awesome in my book. It's either this or I read the books which feels voyeuristic to the nth degree, given that I know the people involved.

Last night I discovered this website. Apparently it was all figured by the person who wrote the series about my dad so color me intrigued. I signed up. I was given a wand that was actually pretty wicked close to my own wand. Then I this morning I got to Hogwarts because I fell asleep. And then I was sorted into Slytherin.

Slytherin.

What is that? Clearly this website needs to be fixed up because clearly I am not a Slytherin because clearly the actual Sorting Hat put me in Gryffindor which is where I belong.

Or maybe I am a Slytherin. Oh Merlin. I don't even know who I am anymore. I'm having an existential crisis.

Well. It's the 21st century and you'd think that people are changing for the better because you hear a whole bunch of stuff in the news about laws being passed and acceptance, etc. etc. And then someone goes and ruins your faith in humanity all over again.

It probably wouldn't mean much coming from me since I'm just one person but as someone who has grown up here all my life, I want to say that none of you are taking anything from me. As a matter of fact, I like having you all around, and I've even made new friends that I would have never expected to make. If my dad was still around, he wouldn't have let shit like vandalism happen. I'm sorry anyone is being treated this way.

I'd forgotten how much I loved the 10am showings at movie theaters, but good God. New York, your movie ticket prices are so ridiculous that it makes me want to pull the stunts I did when Audrey I was a young kid. I cried my eyes out at Les Miserables. Yup, I'm that cliched. I kind of enjoyed it, though. Been a long time since I've seen a movie, let alone let myself CRY during one.

I thought I would distract myself look into where it is I happen to be from. I had already discovered that there were books and videos...but with a little help I looked online. I stumble on some writing that was a story. I mistook it for our legends. I have later been informed its something called fanfiction. I am beyond horrified by what I read. I think I need to find my way to the tavern.

I admit, I never thought I'd be treated like an alien on what is, more or less, my own planet. Wonders really will never cease.

New York's Museum of Natural History is rather brilliant! Love a good museum; sorry, of course, to the curator for changing some of the displays. They were just a bit wrong, but fixed now! No charge, that's how I work!

Also, to the lovely family on 6th street. Loved your home, and your meal, thank you for letting me take your satellite dish. Probably should have explained that a bit more, but still! Wonderful news, it's doing wonders! Oh, you probably don't have this network. That's alright.

Had to borrow a couple of TVs from a pub down the street, they weren't too happy about that... watching some American Football. Don't worry all! Your team won! I'll have them back to you as soon as I solve this crisis!
