There are some good people. But a good chunk of them will lie for no reason at all - it'll be ten o'clock and they'll tell you it's nine. You're looking at the clock and you can't even fathom why they're lying. They just lie because that's what they do.

....A lot of people are not meant to be together, but I think when you get to the point where you don't need to be in love, then you could be in love. You have to just be OK with yourself-and that's a long process.

I guess maybe I'm idealistic.

The timing could have been better, but there's no point in worrying about that now. If there were a simple way back, I would have found it by now, and I imagine some of you would have as well. I hope the others find a convincing excuse to give my mother for why her son is horrendously late coming home and out of cell phone range ... or rather, I hope one of them does, as the whole group of them trying at once would be an unmitigated disaster.

It's funny - I thought I'd move to the city to find something to do. And here I am, and I haven't the first idea how I'm meant to occupy myself.

Does anyone need some kickass Christmas decorations? I've not used that spell yet, so it's good to go. I'd been saving it for some stupid sentimental gathering in the future that's probably not going to happen at this rate, so I guess I might as well use it now that I'm stuck here for a while. And it's December 1st, so it's not psychopath-early.

I guess I could just do the Ground Floor, unless someone else is dying for some holiday cheer. Or the bar or the coffee place or whatever. Either way, this is a one-time offer. I can't repeat the same spell twice.

I really like Christmas in that schmaltzy, obnoxious way, but I don't know. It just never works out.

You're all amazing, you know that? I was thinking tonight that I'd like to see a little more of Earth. With the holiday season, and everyone new that's arrived that can't take vacations until after the holidays are over... would anyone want to take a few day trip? Cost isn't a problem, Mr. Stark pays me um... quite well. So I can cover any traveling and lodging expenses.

I just don't really know where would be a good place to visit. Someplace bright, lots to do... drinking? Maybe that's an Earth staple? I'm open to suggestions. I was thinking right after New Years, so that we're still here for Christmas and I've been told that Mr. Stark throws good parties.

This all feels like a weird, lengthy dream. That looks to be pretty par for the course here, but still. I guess New York City's a pretty great place to end up if you're going to get sucked through space, though? Far cry from Beacon Hills, but I can't say I'm going to complain about that. It's been a while since I've been in a real city. Not that Beacon Hills is that small, but it's not really anything compared to NYC or any other major city. So. Yeah.

I went out for a stroll today to look at some of the shops on 5th avenue, and was offered a job at this great, big, lovely place called FAO Schwarz! They have a Harry Potter section there! And they sell these square colorful things called Legos, and some of the people I am friends with were made into these Legos. Naturally I was excited and started handing them out to all of the people I saw, and told them how wonderful Hogwarts is, and how lovely Harry Potter is.

The man, who they call the bogs, or boss, or something or other, said that he had never sold so many boxes of Legos in a single day. He asked me to come back tomorrow to fill out papers, and to teach me how to be a toy demonstrator. They are going to give me this New York money to use toys, tell people about the toys, and show them what they do! I think this is going to be fun.
