The Doorway: a panfandom game

There was a panel featuring Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller at NYCC today. For obvious reasons, I did not attend. But I did read a list of the proposed directions this season could possibly take, and get to listen to an actor talk about bringing my relationship with my father to the screen.

I'll admit, I had to do a double-take while I was walking down the street today. Looks like Halloween season has started already. That, or the con for comics is already underway.

That said, every year we hold a Halloween hall decorating contest with the other floors. As much as this is a friendly competition, I don't think that's any reason for us to hold back, and I'm confident we'll be able to come up with the best ideas. If I were across the galaxy right now, I'd take the Milano out, coast the engines, and play my music on repeat while taking it easy for a week or two. Usually if I get beaten up this badly, it comes with a big score. The lack of beautiful women I'm involved with is okay, because it is not time to come and get your love from me.

But I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to sleep now. Can't be more than two days awake if you have a concussion.

Someone broke my window and straightened up my stuff. Didn't take anything. As weird shit goes in my life, this is pretty up there.

Some days I really miss Frohicke and Byers and Langley. They'd have just the thing to say about this and probably be able to do some sort of fancy analysis to jump on theories or not so much, but in the meantime: I want to believe.

Who is the butterfly tag artist? Why was she arrested? When I first arrived, somebody mentioned her to me, but wasn't able to give me a full answer. She must be important, because the news says she's missing after visiting her lawyer, only days before her hearing, and now butterfly protesters have taken to the streets in flash mobs.

When I first came here, I came from a time before Loving v. Virginia. Thus the gay marriage debate has been familiar. But progress comes. Congratulations to those who finally reached it. Eventually. Yet even still, anti-superpowered bias seems the next battle. I hope we can also be included in "all Americans are created equal."

Someone involved with the Butterfly Effect, Janet Vallencia, the artist which the newspapers seem to be crediting the butterfly murals to, has been arrested.

Music sure is different in this day and age. Some things out there I'm not even sure can rightly be called music.
