I've decided it's about time I entered a baking contest. I'd like to see how I measure up to other people. There aren't many right now in the area, but there is this one that looks simple and fun. The grand prize is a trip here, which I obviously wouldn't need, but it also includes a trip to the Food Network studios, and that's something I'd definitely be interested in.

Anyone going to see the tree? I mean it's a neat thing, Christmas isn't a big thing for everyone, and I imagine even less so here with how many different cultures are all converging in one place. Really it's an interesting study in adaptation, culturally speaking, right here in the tower. I imagine there are people keeping track of demographics of the fluctuating population here and really there's so much that could probably be learned from that.

So having gone through a couple of these Tower-only deals now , could it be said that they normally affect just the Tower, or has that been a fluke?

Okay. So, suddenly getting shut out of your impromptu living arrangement is weird. Then you decide to go check out the city some, and you find you've got a shelter in your name. Which, truthfully? Kind of awesome. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone at the Mayday house for being awesome and for letting me work there in exchange for someplace to sleep while the crazy-whatever-is-going-on is happening.

How normal is this kind of thing here anyway?

I'm thinking about setting up a Study Room, a quite workspace in the Youth Centre where students can come and do their homework after classes, away from whatever Tower crazy the tesseract is causing - or roommates, or video game consoles, or anything else that might be distracting.

Would that be of interest to anyone?

Secondly, would anyone be interested in offering extra help, or tutoring to students who might need some homework assistance? ESD classes are small, so I'm sure a lot of the professors can probably cover this on their own - but if someone was even interested in being a kind of homework candy striper, that might be a good idea. Moral support can go a long way!

Well, that was fun. I think I need to start doing things around the city more often. Heard about this restaurant I haven't been to yet and it was incredible.

Babies. They're great. Super cute and they grow up into toddlers who are actually hilarious. Plus their heads smell super nice.

To my point, our baby is due in about a month. While Charlie is going to be quite possibly the cutest baby ever born who may or may not also have biotic powers, he also has two moms that work full time defending truth, justice, and the right for bad guys to be imprisoned for a very long time. And while SHIELD;s maternity leave policy is better than say, none, fact of the matter is that someone is going to have to watch Charlie when we're not around.

Sadly I've been informed Winston and Diet Soda Justice aren't qualified nannies, being a cat and dog respectively.

Which means that we are going to be looking for a nanny/babysitter in the next few months to supplement daycare. Renee and I can have irregular schedules what with the world being in danger every other week. There's also a slight chance of space magic power. So being able to handle those would be a bonus.

Anyone who's interested, let me know and we can do a meet up. We can discuss money and benefits if it seems like it'll be a good fit.
