As my son has already been told, I suppose I am now allowed to give my good news to the city at large. May Castellan, who I love deeply, is with child.

Demigods, I hope that you will accept this child into your ranks, for its life will be just as difficult as yours have been, no doubt, although I hope that I may rectify some of the mistakes I made with Luke.

Cats have so much more dignity than this youtube grants them.

How would humans feel if people recorded their spectacular failings and posted them on a website?

This place feels wrong. I can't stay here.

Also Manhattan, really?

TEXT TO LUKE CASTELLAN:
» Did you enjoy the football game?
» I was glad to see New England lose.
» It was also good to have a day with you.
» We should do it again, soon.

I want to congratulate the winners of the Comptalia Games. I must admit that I was a bit hesitant when I saw that you were going forth with them again, after remembering the very good reasons the Roman Senate had banned them, but these were carried out with great decorum.

Special thanks to Piper McLean for her excellent organizational skills in getting all of this set up. You are truly to be commended. Your mother would be proud.

In other news, I suppose I am going to have to find a job. A thousand dollars lasts a long while when one does not need to eat, but it is certainly not an infinite amount.

I've been in bed the last few days, laid up with what I'm pretty sure is just a stomach flu. Is that still going around? It really is annoying. I'm hoping some rest this weekend will help and I'll be back on my feet by Monday.

To my French students, I am sorry, but I won't be able to meet with you tonight.

I haven't left the apartment tonight, but I've seen the weather reports. Please stay safe out there, everybody.

>> Do you think you can pick up some soup on the way home? And bread for toast, maybe?
>> Please? I'm still laid up in bed
>> I think I've caught some sort of stomach bug.
>> Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

TEXT TO MAY CASTELLAN:
» It appears I am taking our son to a sporting event on Sunday.
» I have been able to procure tickets to the Patriots/Ravens football game on Sunday night.
» We will be taking the train up Sunday morning and come back very late Sunday night.
» I hope this is a good time for us, and goes some way to repairing relations between Luke and myself.

Did you enjoy your holidays? I am glad to see that you have many friends here. You deserve that.

Come to dinner with me, tomorrow night. To that place you like in Midtown. I have several things I would like to discuss with you.

If anyone is in need of any last minute shopping for the magically inclined, please consider Widdershins, 290 Thompson St.

Again, I must thank you for this opportunity. I have acquired some local honey, which, perhaps somewhat atypically, you can find in the mail room. I realise that you offered to answer a few questions, but I do not wish to give the impression that I am ungrateful. As such, perhaps for now I shall ask just my most pressing and relevant questions:

1. What do you know of Twilight, the so-called and prophesied end of Magic. I realise it is not a tale you to which you are explicitly linked, but as a god whose domains do involve gnosis and magic, it seems prudent to ask.

2.Have you since your arrival come to any more of an understanding of the nature of the tesseract or our existence in this dimension?

3. Have you any special comprehension of the laws of magic in this dimension as they differ from those in yours or others with which you are familiar?

4. The 9th tract of the Corpus Hermiticum, "That No One of Existing Things doth Perish, but Men in Error Speak of Their Changes as Destructions and as Deaths" references obliquely a seventh Kuranide. Is this the Papyrus of Ani or some other, lost treatise, dealing with the nature of undeath?

I think we should do dinner for the holiday.

Is Tuesday good for a potluck of sorts? I would be willing to look into a goose or turkey for the event.

TEXT TO LUKE CASTELLAN AND MAY CASTELLAN:
» I am making dinner tomorrow night for the two of you.
» Six-thirty.

Whilst I cannot say one way or another about this Ring Lord what-have-you-all, I have discovered that there is an opera house in town. Most delightful news indeed.

More, they've performances next week of an opera Les Troyens by some chap Berlioz. I do believe it's one of those endless Roman tales they stuff into schoolboy's brains to shove out any thoughts of mischief. The Odyssey or the Aenied or some such. La, but I could never keep them straight! It's in French, but we can hardly fault it for that.

Would anyone care accompany me? We could take in a spot of brandy before and thence arrive at the theatre in one of those automobiles I've seen such a titter about.

They're holding a box in the Grand Tier, but I'd rather confirm sooner than later. So what say you all?

I have been told that there are other gods here, but I have not yet met you. Are you from my world?

And I know that there are demigods from my world here. I have talked to my son, but I know that there are others.

And I hear there are some here from the Roman camp as well?

Greetings to you all, and Salve et bonum salutem to the Romans.
