this google is a WONDERFUL device. you can find all sorts of naughty things on it -- even dirty poetry. for example:
    i am a fucking whore
    and that's not a metaphor
    it's the total fucking truth
    i'm a prostitute forsooth
such language! i was looking for work but it seems i have found something far more interesting indeed.

So not only am I a woman again, I'm also a blonde again. Not sure how that works but hey, I'll take it. It's nice to have my voice back.

So remember when I went to bed Thursday night without a penis and woke up Friday morning with a penis?

Yeah me too.

Gotta say though, standing up to pee is kinda cool.

[info]featherington

I want my face back. And my body. This is all so very awkward and even tea isn't doing very much to fix it at the moment.

However, it was easier to reach up for things as I was cleaning this afternoon, so I suppose that is a plus.

I wish to apologize, for my words this past week. I originally asked my question about your employment prospects out of concern for you, and it was entirely uncalled for, for me to say what I did when you admitted you hadn't been able to think of anything. Please believe me when I say that I believe that you are so much more than you think you are, and that you are capable of doing anything in the world that you wish to do. Please don't let this new world allow you to believe that you are anything but a capable, honest, and good man. There is something here for you, but you simply have not discovered it.

I used to ride a lot when I was younger - which is to be expected, growing up on a ranch. Being here I've missed it, but setting up Serenity Ranch has helped a bit with that. Anyways, I decided to ride in a three day eventing competition this past weekend. The cross country course was awesome - easily my favorite part. The jumping course wasn't bad, and dressage, well, riding to music in white breeches, tails and a top hat isn't my usual thing. I came in 12 in the cross country course which I was happy with. Tempted to try an endurance riding competition next. Or even barrel racing. There's just something about galloping on a horse that - well - it's a feeling that's almost like flying.

[Kirk]
Go karts or bungee jumping?

[info]neversurrender

Well. Thank you to everyone who tried to help me find my family, but I think it's time to accept that they're gone back through the tesseract. I really appreciate everything all of you did, though; I really wasn't expecting so many of you to be willing to help. Which, in itself, was probably the most helpful thing. If that makes any sense.

I'm going out of town for a few days to clear my head and... try to sort out these weird angelic powers that I seem to have gotten out of nowhere. But-- that said, I know there were people around here who could have used angelic help before, so... if that's something you need, now's the time to ask for help. It's the least I can do, really.

[ friends + family* ]
I'm just headed to the cabin. If you need anything-- or want to come with-- just let me know. Don't feel bad, don't say sorry, just take care of yourselves, okay? And tell me if there's anything I can do. That's the best thing you can do for me right now.

*basically everyone he knows-- feel free to assume!

Alright. Anyone around here who's super specially good at looking for (and finding) people for any reason, I need your help.

In the meantime, roll call. If I know you even a little bit, I want to know if you're still here or not.

[ spn + v ]
Now Dean's missing. Whether we find him or not, I'm going to the cabin after this. Any of you are welcome to come with me.

Pamela, if you're still here: got any psychic tingles about whether he-- or my dad-- are still here somewhere, or not?

[info]jonathanarcher

For someone who has timetraveled before this is an unusual situation that I find myself in. It isn't something I appreciate either as I had duties I must attend too back home - severely important ones as that. Still I have been told that I should introduce myself - I'm Captain Jonathan Archer.

So this morning SHIELD types were rummaging through files at refugee liaison office.

They didn't seem amused at any of my jokes.

It almost felt like home.

We got a visit from SHIELD this morning down at the new refugee liaison office. That made for an interesting morning.

I heard you had quite the adventure today. My colleagues were very impressed with your physical evaluation scores. There were, dare I say, off the chart?

Filter to Director Maria Hill:
Aisha, the patient who had the lucid episode on Saturday, had another one today. It lasted approximately seven minutes, but she wasn't able to give me much more information than her name. I've had her hooked up to a monitor since the last one, and I am confident that we will be able to tell when she's about to have another period of lucidity -- her readings jumped significantly prior to this one. With any luck, the next time she'll be able to tell us where she's from or who we might contact for her.

For a year I've maintained that I have no desire to return to Starfleet Medical on a permanent basis, and my brief time here at SHIELD has only strengthened that belief. I really don't think that I was challenged enough.

I found myself watching Captain Reynold's series over the weekend and this just stuck out to me:

"After the Earth was used up, we found a new solar system and hundreds of new Earths were terraformed and colonized. The central planets formed the Alliance and decided all the planets had to join under their rule. There was some disagreement on that point. After the War, many of the Independents who had fought and lost drifted to the edges of the system, far from Alliance control. Out here, people struggled to get by with the most basic technologies; a ship would bring you work, a gun would help you keep it. A captain's goal was simple: find a crew, find a job, keep flying."

Keep flying. I think there's so much contained within those two words. It's not just about keeping the ship up in the air and running. It's about taking care of your crew, assessing risks and acting in the best interests of the crew. A ship without her crew is nothing. She won't fly herself.

I've been spending a lot of time out at the ranch. It's been useful, to just focus on that. There really is nothing like hard labor to clear your mind of things. I suppose that's why we push the cadets so hard at the beginning. It allows you to focus. And really, when you slip in mud (or manure), it certainly jerks you out of your thoughts. And a week of mucking out stalls and remembering that no titles or ranks get you out of that can be a good thing. It's useful to settle down into the rhythm of the ranch again. (It doesn't hurt that the past few nights have been gorgeously clear and there's something about just staring up at the vastness of the stars (and what lies beyond) is incredibly calming.)

I've set up a workspace there - well, two. One where I can work on writing my history (histories?) of Starfleet - and I still need some more collaboration on that to make sure it's a well-balanced approach because I don't want this to just be one Captain's perception. - and the other as more of a tinker space. Mal had talked about getting Kaylee's copter up in the air and I haven't devoted much time to working on it. It's a bit of 'ancient' technology, coming from my time, but I've found some manuals, and it'll be an interesting challenge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE: A combined Gift from Deanna & Laura because the mun is lazy )

Feb. 27th, 2014

[info]featherington

I think that I'll be very happy to leave February behind us. It's never been my favourite month, and although this one did bring me quite a pleasant surprise, it's still quite a dreary month altogether. I say this with the full knowledge that I, at one point, claimed my favourite season to be Winter. But as I have read elsewhere today on this very network, February in the year 2014 is dragging its heels, taking its time in leaving us. But there is Hope! Spring is only weeks away, and from there we will have the joys that bright flowers, fresh breezes, and newly-green trees can bring.

And with Spring comes April, my birth month. Should I celebrate my twenty-ninth birthday? After all, it is only a little over a month ago that I celebrated my twenty-eighth. Of course, that was in 1824, but in me-time it is far from having been a year since my birthday. I believe I will celebrate my twenty-eighth once again, and allow the Earth to cycle back to April before admitting I am a year closer to thirty. I am a spinster, after all, and spinsters must be allowed their little eccentricities.

Especially when those eccentricities involve cooking, having a job, and attending school. :)

Happiest of birthdays to Nurse Christine Chapel! I hope the coming year brings with it all the joy, hope, and laughter you can stand, and then some.

Is something the youth center might be interested in getting in on? You know. Kids and stuff arriving. Maybe at least a person we can call at least.

I want to say that you guys should think about this offer, it's part time and you guys seem to have a lead on docs in the tower. So think it over.
