Hey, thanks for, um, helping me.
Others have been preparing for the Superbowl. It's a truly quiet almost dead time in Fangtasia. Sundays are never our busiest days on less snowy football-less weekends to begin with. As such, I've been putting thought into our wedding. I want to announce it in the New York Times, which has a remarkable number of guidelines. My hometown doesn't even exist here, but given it's fully verifiable information, I'm sure they'll accept it. There is a symmetry to having our eyebrows photographed on the same level. It's aesthetically pleasing, and it would be lovely to save many copies of that issue. I don't know whether or not we'll be able to win the Vows Column, but I have already started on the second half of it.Filtered: Elena Gilbert
My mind's been swirling on the date. If it's the summer, I was thinking June or September. It's so much hotter in July and August. But five months isn't that much time to plan a wedding. But it's doable, definitely manageable. What do you think? I might accidentally plan the whole thing without realizing I haven't asked you. And it is your wedding too.
It's been quite the Mystic Falls/New Orleans arrival party lately. More New Orleans than Mystic Falls, but Rebekah, Kol... they're originally from Mystic Falls, so it counts. But I was wanting to speak with you about options... Sire bond dealing options. We have some more, some less, than dealing with it the first time around. And we can learn from that. So, would now be a good time to discuss that?Filtered: Fangtasia Employees
One year anniversary coming up, February 15th. And I know it's all romance and glorious times for many couples downstairs, good times for singles upstairs on the 14th. But I want to do something special for our one year anniversary. It's a Sunday, a slowish day, but that also means we can do what we want and not drive business away if it's too crazy. So while I've had some ideas for a while, none of them seem like Just the Right Thing to Do. So I'm open to suggestions. It's really 2015. It only ever completely settles on me that it's a new year once we reach the second month. It's not as though I've been writing the wrong year until now, but it really feels like it. I've also been doing an amazing job at staying calm. No Bridezilla moments. It's almost a miracle.
So weird thing. I was out fighting like, you know, the Slayer does when I went to do some Slayer parkour and poof, I went up a lot higher than I expected.
Like.
Flight higher.
I can fly again.
I know a number of you ended up glowing during last night's black out. There doesn't seem to be any clear reason why, but we're going to start working on that.
Anyone who does research who is willing to look through to see if we can figure out if there's any supernatural reason that this might have occurred - the backroom at Widdershins will be open and I'll be there most of the afternoon.
I'm also thinking that it would be good to have more of us out on patrol this week. A two pronged approach, the first being if something is actually going to go down, the better we have a chance of stopping it. The second being that people will be on edge and frightened, and frightened ordinary people do stupid things - if we can help calm a situation or keep someone from getting hurt. That's a good. If anyone is willing to take extra patrol shifts let me know and I'll put you in there.
If everyone who was glowing, or who knows someone who was, can tell me where you were last night - maybe we can coordinate locations and it'll be a part of answering that puzzle.
Are you going to work today?
I still can't find any information on whether there were any warning signs before the second cataclysmic event on Galia-9. It could be a coincidence, and it's been quiet here too, but I can't get it out of my head.
I still can't believe you'd pick me for something like this, but I'm really excited. Do you know what your timeline for the next steps is?
Because this game is massive, and even if every character just sent ONE package to anyone, it would end up being so many posts that it would overrun the game. So to save our friends lists from imploding, we the moderators are asking that you fill out this form and reply HERE. It'll make it easier to find (Control-F is a lovely thing!) and we won't have to abuse our scroll button. Here's how we're going to do it. You will post for one character with everything that they got for their friends/family/etc. Make sure to tag your character and all the characters that yours gave gifts too as soon as you get their information up! |
So the plot thickens. Remember the $1.2 million dollar guy? Yeah, he contacted me today for our date. Turns out that he and his wife were (are?) huge Buffy fans. No kidding, Buffy, you say, waiting for her to get to the point.FILTERED TO BEN REILLY:
They want me to take them out on patrol, and they want to slay a vampire.
$1.2 million, and I don't even get dinner out of it.
Weird question to ask. I'm pretty confident in my abilities and all, but civilians? In the workplace? Usually get ahead of themselves and decide to jump right into danger.FILTERED TO GILES:
Think you can watch my back tonight in things get out of hand?
Hey, I got a bunch of tax forms for Widdershins in my name, since you know, you're twelve. Legalities, schegalities. Come over before I head out and get these? I've got a bottle of your favorite whisky to go along with it. Nothing says Merry Christmas like getting black out drunk and doing taxes?
Tony have quite a lot of work to catch up on tonight, and I was just thinking --
Well, the Rubin Museum has an exhibit on which focuses on the meditation practice of Sarvavid Vairochana, a primordial Buddha central to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The paintings are on loan from the Museum aan de Stroom in Antwerp, Belgium -- and I thought you might like to see them. The Rubin also has a other exhibits and a shrine room that I thought might interest you...
Anyway! I have a bit of pull with one of the art directors there, they used to work at the Morgan, so I could probably arrange for us go after hours so you wouldn't be bothered by anyone -- that's, I mean, that's if you'd like to go.
Okay, so hear me out. I've never been to the Rockefeller Center yet, and I haven't seen a tree lighting that wasn't the one in San Antonio which may as well have been a cactus.
So I was thinking maybe we could go tomorrow? Hang out, listen to the music, see the tree lighting ceremony?
I don't know. Maybe we could go get some hot cocoa or something after. Together. You and me.Maybe like a d
