I’m sorry to have to tell you this but due to budget cuts within SHIELD, the VTF is being officially disbanded. SHIELD thanks you for the time and effort you have put in.

Now that the official stuff is over, yes, this is for real. No, I don’t know precisely why. No, I don’t like it either. If you’re still willing to provide assistance, we’ll still accept it but it would have to be on a volunteer basis and you would not be officially recognised by SHIELD. Unfortunately that means the monetary compensation goes as well. I hate cutting you off like this.

I know most of you tended to work on an extracurricular basis back home so I hope I can still count on your support here. As the work will be on an unofficial and unregistered basis, there is now scope for utilising people who were perhaps deemed unacceptable by SHIELD or who were unwilling to come under SHIELD’s auspices. I’ll leave that to your good judgement.

Tomorrow afternoon I'm thinking about going to the Museum at the FIT to look at their exhibit on trends. It just seems like the sort of thing that could be fun - possibly hysterical depending on the trends and the time. I'm filming not far from 30 Rockefeller Plaza and I'm sure I saw Doctor Doom atop what I think is part of the Atlas statue. Got some video since I was high enough up to not be seen (most would think I was part of the cleaning crew).
