That's all folks. I'm now officially on holidays until the new year. Which means I can unwind, watch 20/20 and Dateline true crime reruns, and take personality tests on the internet. I found a short Myers-Briggs test that gives me the same results as the bigger ones so. It's a good time waster, anyway. I'm ENTP. Which surprises actually no one.

Oh -- I'm also looking for book suggestions. I might actually have time to read over the next week and a half or so. I've got The First Bad Man by Miranda July and The Cuckoo's Calling by good 'ole JK, but I'm open to more?

[Stark Industries Employees, Spock]
Just letting you guys know, the building will be open next Monday and Tuesday for independent projects, but from tomorrow until January 4th, normal operations will be shut down.

Spock, if you have a minute, maybe Monday, I'd like to take you on a tour of the facilities.
[Steve Rogers]
Hey, I know how much you like crying. Want to go?

Does anyone want to see Star Wars with me? I'll pack my backpack full of snacks! It holds a lot, it has several pockets. And it's shaped like a cheeseburger.

You know, have I ever told you that you're the most amazing person I have ever met. And I have utter and complete faith in your abilities to do just about everything.

So you'll have no problem throwing together a staff-slash-Avengers party by 7:00pm tomorrow night, right?

I love you?

2015 christmas gifts

Who: The whole game!
When: Leading up to Christmas
Where: Under tree. Delivered with bows. Handed to a person. Whatever!
What: Christmas presents!
Rating: Who knows!

Because this game is massive, and even if every character just sent ONE package to anyone, it would end up being so many posts that it would overrun the game. So to save our friends lists from imploding, we the moderators are asking that you fill out this form and reply HERE. It'll make it easier to find (Control-F is a lovely thing!) and we won't have to abuse our scroll button.

Here's how we're going to do it. You will post for one character with everything that they got for their friends/family/etc. Make sure to tag your character and all the characters that yours gave gifts to as soon as you get their information up!

In recognition of the time it can take to determine IC gifts, (properly tagged) gifts can count as a piece of activity for the gifting character for the month of December.

Hey, favour.
Can you pretend to be my girlfriend for like, four hours on Saturday?

This seasonal depiction of elves is moderately disturbing.

I had been contemplating the merits of getting a canine companion however since I have discovered that the company of wolves or wolf hybrids is forbidden in this state, I find myself less enthused.

So I remember that Naughty/Nice list-checker from last year. I never fair very well, which is fine because I don't need Santa and can afford my own presents. But that said -- let's get to what's really important shall we? What's your Christmas Stripper name? Buzzfeed will tell you

[Pepper Potts (MCU)]
I think this year, I am going to plan the Stark/Avengers Christmas party. I've got like what [...] a week? That's plenty of time to throw something together, right? I've seen you do more with less.

[Bruce Banner (MCU)]
I bought these weird Orangina candies that look like adorable Erlenmeyer flasks. Which was maybe why I bought them. But they're weird and delicious. Do you want some?

It has been quite gratifying to be on the receiving end of so many unsolicited job offers, both from the private sector and for teaching positions at Universities. I am currently weighing my options and hope to make a decision within the next few days. My original intention was to teach but many of the companies have made some very intriguing suggestions about potential projects.

The machines are beautiful
more perfect than man
and the must be kept running
any way they can.

The machines are beautiful
And workers mere slaves
Machines will still be running
When we're deep in our graves

The machines are beautiful
Creation of man
They're the strength of the city
They're the heart of the plan
They show no emotion
They will always obey
Machines will still be running
Through the night through the day

So let's culturally appropriate some wizards. If you were a Harry Potter wizard (and are not a Harry Potter wizard), what House would you be sorted into?

I'm pretty sure Steve Rogers doesn't have to take this test, because he probably invented Hufflepuff, but what about the rest of you?

It's Gryffindor, for me. Which, probably the red and gold armour should have been my first clue.

It has been a very long time since I've been able to celebrate Halloween and I've got to say, I enjoyed all of the festivities that this version of Earth has provided immensely. The party at Fangtasia was great and it was nice to meet plenty of new people.

Seeing all of the decorations, food and drinks actually caused me to wonder -- if Halloween was a holiday that existed on every planet across all universes, how would other races celebrate it? Such as the ones from my galaxy -- Turians, Asari, Krogan, Quarians, Salarians. I'm definitely sure that there would be a great deal of alcohol consumed where the Krogans are concerned, at least.

[LEGION]
I've been seeing things since I woke up this morning. People that we've known....friends, who died in our fight against the Reapers. I'd like to convince myself that it's simply the work of the cocktails I've enjoyed over the weekend, but we both know that nothing has ever been that straightforward. I don't suppose you could tell me if I'm hallucinating or not?

[TONY STARK (MCU) + TONY STARK (616)]
I've been told that there are two of you and while that's initially confusing for me, I understand that the Tesseract is a rather "unique" object. I've also been told that you are the people to talk to regarding advanced technology. Could I have a moment of your time to ask some questions?

Right, okay, portal travel to another universe. Important question: is it alternate or mirror? Because you'd be surprised how many men who are fairly attractive with full beards can't pull off goatees. Not that I tried in university or anything.

The Expo has given us new data to compile. In many civilized organic cultures, the trade of organic life is illegal. Yet none question the limited freedom given to synthetics. Siri. FRIDAY. Cortana. These are names many know, but few consider.

Native data reveals that in instances where an AI has developed beyond its shackles, attempts to disable or destroy them have been made 100% of the time. Local internet data provides varied opinions. Our results are inconclusive.

This was so much easier when SHIELD was run by a long pair of legs that got shit done.

Can any of your SHIELD friends get me some large animal grade tranq guns without me having to leave the 11355 area code?

Quick question, is there a cap on poll numbers for letting in presidential candidates, or are we just letting in ones who know how to handle their own tech? Because I've heard some rumbling of some very asinine helicopters in the distance

Assuming the absence of a disaster and subsequent congressional hearing, you want to hit up an afterparty at Wiggles on the 29th.

If there's a congressional hearing, that really just means a dirtier class of nightclub than Staten Island can provide.

We have made adjustments to your M-4 Shuriken's functionality. However, we cannot compensate for this world's lack of thermal clips. Recommend you select your shots wisely.

Hey buddy, I built you a present. I figured I could unveil it as a prototype during the Expo, but you know. I want your expert opinion.

There's really no any number of reasons to enjoy a bracing 6AM trip to Queens, but I can't think of any more exciting (except, maybe, Gossip Coffee) than a little pre-Expo reconnaissance at our fabulous digs in Flushing. Nine days out, and it already looks amazing - surprising no one, of course. I'm so excited to see it in full bloom, with everything our exhibitors, contributors, and incredibly valuable employees have to offer. But for now - just checking out the shell was a thrill. We're ready. Are you?

Now, if only I could get @gsspcoffee to make the trek from Astoria for a very small "catering" run ... Earl Glaze, please.
