So now all the business with the presents is wrapped up, and the enormous end of year balls have been dropped (Not a word, Iron Bull) are we just expected to... sit quietly and suffer in the snow for the remainder of the winter, or is there something I'm missing, because I can't understand why anyone would want to live in a place where being cold is an expected state.

Although, I did buy these. They're USB heated slippers. So my life, it could be worse. We should have these back home.

In taking Tyrdda out I encountered a rather curious individual. He stopped me and talked to me about imaginary numbers, and how that made math completely different, and it wasn't very fair. I'll admit I did not exactly follow his trail of thought well but he was kind enough to explain a few things.

He did give me a little figurine of a rocking horse with wings. It's very well made. I've put it high enough where Tyrdda cannot get to it.

I have found my new friends and companions.

That is Felassan on the left at the back with the full mask over his eyes and Ghilan in the foreground. They have, thankfully, not received any of the training so common here and are pleasantly themselves. Equally, their intelligence is untouched and very pleasing.

I have found people look very confused when they walk calmly next to me without collar or lead, though I suspect explaining that I have asked them to do so would only be met with confusion. Still, they are pups and do get distracted at times but they are good about returning to me when I ask.

Evelyn's already let the cat... or the mabari... out of the bag but the tesseract has actually done something nice. My Christmas present from it was the mabari who chose me at the Exalted Council. Pup doesn't seem interested in being much of a war dog but he does make me laugh.

I met a very kind man trying to sell me something he called holly. I had no idea about his price, what is a tuppence anyway, but I bought it and he seemed a bit worse for wear. I've gotten him some new clothes and offered our couch to him should he need it, and bought him something warm to eat as well. It's not nearly enough ~~Sera'd be so disappointed in me~~ but it's at least something.
