The one day I try to use the entertainment center. I'll leave it to you techy types to figure out (it's not working). I think I am just going to go get a smoothie. Maybe from one of those new Avengers ice cream flavors. Show my team spirit a bit.

By sheer accident I found a new part time job, security system tester. Turns out people seem to like the idea of a thief being the one to test systems and well the schedule is perfect given my stunt career.

Maybe things are looking up a little?

I woke up this morning with several months worth of new memories. Several months. Is this a normal thing here, because I've had some pretty bizarre dreams compared to most people, but this was different. Even when Hera stole Jason and Percy's memories, they didn't come back to them all at once like this.

I metaphorically took the bull by the horns and power read through all seven 'Harry Potter' books this weekend. While J.K. Rowling got some of the details wrong, the little bits that I was involved with in the books she got right. The potato peeler? Check. The details in the 'Deathly Hallows'? Check. Guard detail? Check. I don't know if I should be oddly flattered or slightly creeped out. I think I might lean towards the former if only for the state of my sanity. I have been told that there are movies. Advice on whether or not I should watch them?

Also, I've been looking at jobs - specifically those regarding to working at a library since I can't perform my former profession and I always thought working at a library would be fun - and most of them require something called a 'BA' or a 'BS'. Which then led me to looking at schools and then my head started swimming with all the details and I gave up. I would like to be out there, actively doing something because as nice as this holiday (for lack of a better word) has been, I would like to be doing something. Recommendations?

Does anyone know where I might be able to build and use a open pit fire? I'd make sure that all the safeguards about not having anything burn that wasn't supposed to burn would be up - charms and the like. Figured asking this way would be faster than anything else.

All of that being said, if anyone would like tea and biscuits as a way to "drown their sorrows" for whatever reason you may have, my door's open. I live in 403. Well, this sucks. It looks like I'm not the only one of the opinion, either. My thoughts to anyone else that lost someone recently.

So, unfortunately the PTYC has recently lost several staff members to Tesseract shenanigans, and we've reached a point where Emma and I can't pick up all the slack by ourselves. I just hate replacing them. That means we're hiring again:

Business Manager (full time)
Someone to oversee the budget, financial planning, fundraising, and accounting. You'll also work with the fundraising lead, Silena Beauregard, which you should definitely consider a bonus.

Recreation Lead (full time)
Responsible for planning and executing programs and events for fun and recreation (such as the monthly Mario Kart tournament, the Art Club, etc.) You'll work closely with our education coordinator, Emma Frost, on joint events and programs.

Staff (part time)
We're looking for two or three more people to work about 20 hours a week. Staff have the responsibility of talking with visitors, playing games with them, helping with homework, being Good Examples and helping as they can with anything else our visitors need, and acting as support for the program leads. This is great work for students, since you can flex the schedule around your classes.

If you're interested, comment here and we can set up an interview. I'm looking to hire fairly quickly so we can get back up to full staff and I can start eating and sleeping like a normal person again. Feel free to ask any questions you want about the center or the positions, too.

Since Homeless Runaway and Immortal Hunter haven't worked out for me as career choices, I guess I should start thinking about what else I can do. What kind of jobs are open to dyslexic teenagers who don't have a high school diploma but are really good at shooting lightning out of a spear?

I'm talking like I'm going to be here for the long term, but we've seen that people are taken away and brought back all the time, and every time it happens they have to start over. And then I started thinking about how much I was still hurting over losing you to Kronos and thinking I hated you for it when I got brought over, and I don't want to go through that again. I don't want to put you through that again either. If it does happen, though, I want some record of what we've gone through that you can point me at, so I can read through it and figure out where to go from there. So here it is:

I love you. I've loved you ever since you almost knocked me over at the dragon's lair. Even when you'd gone over to Kronos and I convinced myself that I hated you, I still loved you. I love you now for managing to find the best parts of yourself again after Kronos tried to stomp it all out. I love you for the tireless way you put yourself into making other people happy. Most of all, I love you because it's you and me against whatever the world throws at us, and nothing, least of all a shiny blue cube, is going to take that away from us again.

This movie is awful. Half my sisters are missing! I am not short and fat. Our Gods do not come in technicolor. That is Bast's pantheon. Narcissus is a jerk, not a God.
