Pretty soon I'll have been here six months. I know I was here before and that's kinda strange to think about because I don't remember any of it. Sometimes I wonder what I did when I was here back then, I know I spent time out at Admirial Pike's ranch workin' on the helicopter 'cause he told me and I've been out there since and I can tell it was me from the way it looks. A girl knows her own handiwork after all.

I dunno what's wrong with me today. I just kinda feel like I wanna get out and do somethin' but I can't think of a thing I wanna do. I don't like days like this.

Probably useless, but do you guys need anyone who cleans up the shit you don't want to? I can do paperwork and other things. I'm just used to working in that environment, and I thought it would be better to be around people who aren't weirded out by the thought of a vampire wheeling their granny around.

Gentlemen. I'm Dr. Beverly Crusher, with SWORD. As you are no doubt well aware, this evening an event occured this evening in which the electric went out for approximately five minutes. We at SWORD are getting reports of people glowing during this time. Even as we speak, SWORD is working to figure out what happened, and how it may affect the population. I am asking your help for this. If you would please open the clinic at Potts Tower this evening for those who have been affected -- particularly those who may have been glowing -- and then pass along the results of any tests you run -- and I suggest you run as broad a spectrum of tests that you can -- I would be grateful.

The facilities at SWORD are available, if you feel that the clinic needs assistance. Transportation to and from the SWORD campus can be provided, and I will make sure that you are both aware of the results of tests run on your patients. This option, of traveling to SWORD, is entirely optional for your patients, but I would urge the greatest caution. It's very important that we figure out what is going on, and if it may adversely affect people.

River's been suffering from nightmares. That's not abnormal, but from what she's willing to say it seems almost like she's picking up these thoughts from other people here. Memories, fears, other experiences that don't belong to her.

I know you know that she's expressed some ... abilities, regarding her levels of perception, to the point where some of you think she's psychic. I don't know what I think about that.

I've asked River to write down what she experiences, in some attempt to see if we can find people who ... match the nightmares, I suppose. I'd just ask that if you're with her and you notice any unusual behavior - more unusual than usual - you tell me.

Now I know it's been difficult settlin in here, and part of that's what, and more who, we've been missin. Another good part of it's not bein bound on the same vessel day in, day out. If that's what we're good for, so be it.

But we are six people a long way from home and with a past in common. I'd say that's worth stickin together. And I do imagine Mal might be a bit put out if he shows up and we've all gone our own separate ways.

So I've come to learn people on this rock use the end of their year as a chance to make new goals and the Tesseract seems keen to give me that chance. So I'm gonna make that to you. I want to make a stronger effort to keep this crew together and I hope you will too.
