Some bastards'll protest anything. Sure they'll find a farmer's market that's closing in a few days or something and move on.

[Filtered to Riley Poole]
Hey kid, how you feel about a job?

[info]nicemen

Hey, guess anything's better than being art on a wall...

Though a guy could always use a warmer welcome.

FILTER | Riley Poole

Poole, I'm Agent Hill, I work with SHIELD. How's your schedule for this week looking? I might have some unofficial work for you.

This is quite possibly the worst time to start craving a chicken and rice platter from a specific spot in the city.

FILTERED TO HACKERS INVOLVED FROM STEVE'S POST:
I have a friend coming over tonight that ran an entire underground network to help finalize my improved setup, which is going to end up with half of my wall covered in monitors but um. Worth it? I started on coding hacking programs to run on their own consistently through every electronics device that could possibly linked to any of these attacks or the Mandarin.

If anyone wants to come by to help set up or share ideas, I'll have pizza and smoothies to share!

FILTERED TO GARRUS VAKARIAN (JOHN SHEPARD CAN READ):
I'm thinking we may need to move to a 2nd bedroom for the impending new bundle of joy in our lives.

I know there are a lot of you who are concerned about the bombings happening in other countries, and about the broadcasts that we've seen lately, and I know many of you are interested in helping. This is, as I'm sure you all know, a very delicate situation, and bringing this person in hinges on the countries investigating him being able to do so quickly at a moment's notice, before he knows what's going on. At this time, the best things we can do to help is to keep our eyes peeled for violence and threats to the city we're living in right now, and to join organizations such as the local law enforcement or SHIELD to be more involved in any take-down attempts. It won't help any of us to rush in unorganized. There are people here who are working on stopping him, and we need to work alongside them.

That said, I'd like to ask all of you who have experience with tracing signals and hacking to help us narrow down where this terrorist is, or anyone else involved in his organization. If you discover anything at all, please alert myself and Director Fury or Regional Director Hill. Anything we can tell them and share with each other is going to help us in the long run. When he is located, and he will be, I know that we'll be able to bring him in quickly. In the meantime, sit tight, do what you can to help us find him and don't do anything reckless. The rest of the city . No one can hide forever.

FILTERED TO TONY STARK (MCU) & PEPPER POTTS:
Are either of you in town? I'd like to talk to the both of you, if you have a moment.
FILTERED TO PEGGY CARTER:
What do you say to a kid who's lost another one of his friends? I don't know if I managed to say the right things last night.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned or something, although I'm coming in from 07, so I wouldn't consider myself to be too out of date with the latest technology, but I rather not just buy an "app for that". I'd prefer having a separate camera, camcorder, compass, clinometer (actually I don't know if that's an app but I imagine someone decided to do it), and giant topography maps. Not shooting down anyone who likes having stuff like that on their phone, but that's just not for me. I'm sure I'm also not alone. Which brings me to question who teaches their employees to also let customers know that there are also smartphone apps that do the same thing when I'm clearly looking in the electronics department for something?

On the contrary note, I think I am going to stop using my television to get caught up on news, shows and movies. No, I think I'll be sticking to the Internet for that.

So you guys have violent blowhards that like a good monologue too, huh? Wonders never cease.

Pirate gang - that's what I'm calling you Nova Scotia treasure-hunting types - we're on again for this weekend. Bring your boots, check your ego at the door. Those of you who expressed interest last time around; the Cheese wants more people this time around so if you can prove that you're gonna be less trouble than helpful I could take you on. Standard disclaimer applies: you get handsy with anything we find, you're gonna wish I'd just taken your fingers with me.

Should mention that my SHIELD training's coming to an end, so if anything happens with McFruit on the TV, SHIELD's gonna come first.

Finally, my luck's turned around. Upscale working mother needs a nanny (not live-in, thankfully) to take care of her out-of-school from 8 until whenever she arrives home. Two small children - one boy, one girl - and they're both Doctor Who fans who pressured their mother into having me. Bless their little hearts.

Starting Monday, I'll have a job that I really like again.

Money is nice. Alcohol is better. Since I now have the benefit of a job and very limited expenses, I'd like to blow some of that cash on a one-way ticket to inebriation. I'm seeking a departure from my usual fare, so I'm taking suggestions. Act now and you can have the imitable honor of playing a part in my weekend celebration.

But don't say Lagavulin. It tastes like cat urine.

I'm not sure how you lot stand this heat. I don't understand how more of you aren't getting tickets for indecent exposure, because I cannot leave my flat without wanting to strip naked and play in a fountain.

You know, travelling with the Doctor's not helping my credibility as a child care professional. I've had two uptight different families turn me down, and, let's face it, rightfully so, if the Doctor were even here. And if there was a way for me to travel in space and time.

I'll have to suffer with this retail position a little longer, it looks like.

The MoMA uses RBAC for the delivery parking level (for those of you with an allergy to acronyms: Museum of Modern Art and Role-Based Access Control).

RBAC. In this day and age. And a closed-circuit feed.

The front of the museum's decked out, of course, with all that's new and shiny. But the back? Where the exhibits are shipped out? You might as well say "pretty please" and you're in.

Peter, you'd better be glad that the MoMA wasn't in my radius at the start of our parternship.

Okay. If anyone knows a Benjamin Gates in this world, tell him I am done. Riley Poole is done going on all of these like treasure-hunting adventures. I mean, don't get me wrong... it is fun and exciting and all that, and then you end up being chased by the bad guys that want all that gold or recognition to themselves and then someone (with the initials of BG) suggests teaming up and that never ends well.

And so I am pretty sure I just fell off a rickety staircase and hit my head and now I'm hallucinating. Or having a coma dream.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
