They said I should introduce myself so here goes. My name is Mary Russell. I'm 22, I was pursuing further studies at Oxford University to become a Theologian and I am the partner and wife of Sherlock Holmes. I suppose those are the important things to know. I must say that as strange as it is to find myself here, I do like the modern fashions. It will be very nice to wear trousers all the time.

I found myself inspired by the games played on Wall Street sometime last month and I think that we should have our own afternoon of Freeze Tag. I looked up some of the games. Many of them are similar to or exactly like games from my time. It'll be It would be held at Battery Park and there would, of course, be refreshments. I was plannin thought that it could be done on the ninth. I think that it would be a distracting afternoon of simple fun. It would start around noon and end at three; however, feel free to come any time between then.

I'll admit, as challenging as years-old cases are, they lack certain something... the thrill of the chase, the danger of threading through unknown grounds! But, ah, my friends, this is the future, and the future is nothing if not filled with opportunity.



I will need a new dog. Easy to acquire, yet I fear it will be near impossible to find one with Gladstone's able disposition.

For that matter, I might also need a secretary. Mary, darling, would you be willing to consider an offer?

Goodness, what a day! It feels a bit like I just fell into one of Lydia's action movies, and while I'm sure they were only doing their job, having all of those guns trained on me was a bit alarming! However, since then the people here have been very generous and helpful. The apartment is lovely and thank you, Mr. Stark, for the stipend until I'm able to find a job here in the city.

It's a bit odd not having my friends and family here, but I can already imagine helping Lizze put together a SHIELD costume so she can drag me over to her camera. She's extremely clever and I'm absolutely certain she'd document this for her video diaries; it's not everyday that you see the Tesseract! Does anyone know where I can find a craft store? I should probably get a head start on that in case she arrives.

I had been meaning to say something sooner, my apologies for waiting so long. But everyone should make certain they have a coat, and food to last a day or two.

I would just like to say it is freakishly cold in this city. I do not know how anyone stands it for such a long period of time! Beautiful but cold. Tora would love it At least I finally have a reason to wear some of these adorable winter looks. I mean, there are so many times a girl can wear a wool coat in Brazil!

Hello everyone!

On behalf of PTYC, I am excited to announce some upcoming volunteer opportunities. Adults are also encouraged to participate.

1. I have been in contact with a children's ward at a local hospital. They are eager for volunteers to come interact with the kids, especially in the form of storytelling. For those of you from a popular book or fairytale, this is an easy way to lift their spirits and bring a smile to their face. I will be taking a group Saturday morning at 10am.

2. Can you lift a spoon? Then you're qualified to come help with a soup kitchen this Sunday. They have a lot of mouths to feed and not enough hands to ladle. We'll leave Potts' Tower at 9am to help set up for lunch.

I hate to be a nuisance, but I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me find some more appropriate clothing for myself and Lady Morgana? I've no idea where to even begin.

Until this morning, I hadn't quite grasped how much women have changed since my time. Largely for the better in my opinion. I have always admired women who were strong and forthright in their opinions and personalities, Miss Swann being a remarkable example, but unfortunately such women were few and far between in my time. A product of our society, I know. One that largely valued women more for their ability to be a pretty ornament than for their wit and intelligence. I could never quite understand that opinion. Why would any man want a wife who is nothing more than a silly little flibbertigibbet interested in only clothes and gossip instead of one who can match him and stand beside him as a true partner, especially a sailor who must rely upon his wife to run the household and any business they may own while he is at sea?

But I am digressing. This morning, while I was travelling to work, I was approached by a young woman whom I had seen many times on the train. We had spoken briefly a few times before but today she struck up a conversation and then asked me out to dinner. I was a touch taken aback but not unpleasantly so. I found her manner quite charming and a refreshing change to what I am used to and so I accepted. I trust that this is not untoward behaviour on either of our parts? That this sort of thing is acceptable in these times?
