[Filtered to Julie's Friends]

Alright, so we've touched base already, but with everything coming up soon, I just want to finalize everything. I've booked the 13th floor from five onward. It's supposed to be nice, maybe in the 50s on Saturday night, there's not supposed to be rain. The pool's heated but, I don't know if I'd count on swimming. Still, maybe an option so keep clothing options open.
  • If anyone's available to help decorate, either making decorations beforehand or hanging them up, I'll be there at five and can easily be distracted away from studying for arts and crafts time whenever. Ben, Nico? You're still on for this? Kurt?
  • I think we've got lots of people helping with food, so we should be good on that front, can anyone who's a bit more modern cover music? Also, who's going to bring her up to the party? Gwen's bringing cookies and brownies. Cake? Chips etc? I've got some pineapples ripening and some recipes to try.
  • Also as much as I hate to say this, I think we should chip in for alcohol, at least, those who are drinking. I know we're all on limited funds, but it's the most democratic way.

I think this is going to be a great party, guys. Kudos for everyone.

I need a job that isn't working at a sports bar. It was hard enough to pretend to be interested in basketball, but now baseball? And then it will just be football. It's a never ending cycle of I don't get it, which is close to I don't care. I would apologize to all sports fans out there that will probably be all kinds of offended at my dismissal of what I'm sure are really interesting games if you understand what is going on, but again -- I don't care.

In other news, I need a job to better support my new shopping addiction. It wouldn't be so easy to fall prey to it, but the internet makes everything so readily available.

It's times like this when it's really frustrating to that none of the numbers in my phone actually wind up calling the people I think they will.

So. I left this post broad because I don't want to leave anyone out, but as Julie pointed out, her birthday's coming up soon. So who wants to help plan a party Party?

I was thinking something like a luau could be total fun.

Also we should totally make a chart for lobby or thirteenth floor or something that has everyone's birthday on it so it doesn't come as as much of a surprise. I mean we're all away from home, but it'd be nice to have people remember that sort of thing.

Let's see

I've been here nearly two weeks and it's been quite an experience. My roommate is amazing and I'm really glad that we ended up together. We're having a lot of fun.

The thing that I can't used to is that I'm in New York but it doesn't feel like New York at least not New York that I come from. I went to my apartment and it's there but someone else lives in it. Some of the shows on Broadway are the same but some are different and a lot of the people I knew in the theatre world don't exist here. In fact most of them don't. Not gonna lie, that's kind of a relief. It also blows my mind when people recognize me and ask me questions about Bombshell and say things like "Wouldn't it be cool if it were a real musical?" and I want to tell them that it is but then I remember that as far as they're concerned I'm just part of a TV show.

And the bee thing? So not cool.

I know it's not relevant to most of the network, but I just wanted to thank everyone that was kind to me the other day with the food and the hangover remedies, and watching bad telly and that sort of thing. It doesn't bring Mark back but

GOOD MORNING ESPRESSO MACHINE

HI, EVERYONE! MY NAME IS CHRIS, AND I AM NEW HERE.

I FEEL LIKE I AM THINKING IN ALL CAPS.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO WORK THE ESPRESSO MACHINE IN MY ROOM? I USUALLY HAVE ONE OR TWO SHOTS PER MORNING IN MY LATTE, AND I MADE ONE JUST NOW, BUT MY BRAIN FEELS DIFFERENT AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT I DID.

I AM LITERALLY BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS.

Uh
Shit

Molly left a dog - Rajah, giant Saint Bernard. Real sweet, patient, a little old. He needs a place to live out his life that's not, you know, in a shelter.

Thomas? Elaine?

I mean I guess I could keep him but
Have you seen the size of this dog's shit? Hell's bells I need a shovel. He's like Mouse.

HELLO NEW YORK!

So totally not what I was expecting, and this kind of interrupted a really great reunion and rally, but I guess they've explained it to me, and I'm here for now, so let's make the most of it, right? I'm going to introduce myself and then it would be super special if everyone else did the same, with maybe like an interesting fact or three about themselves.

Okay. So. I'm Elle Woods. Boston by way of Belair. Former Delta Nu president, UCLA class of 2001 (GO BRUINS). Harvard Law class of 2004, and recently I've been working in DC to push through a bill to get my dog Bruiser reunited with his mother!

I'm a gemini with a double capricorn moon, a vegetarian, and I actually lived in New York for a summer in 2002 while I was interning at White and Case, but I lived in SoHo. It's apparently 2013, but it was totally 2005 this morning. Weird, right?

Anyway, I could not be more psyched to be here! (Though, I wouldn't mind if my fiancé or dog showed up. ) Now it's your turn!

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
