Are any of you sick? There is a flu going around apparently. I'm fine, I think but I thought I should check in with all of you.

Of the ten manliest hobbies on Earth, Ferelden has eight of them:

1. Blacksmithing. That's why I have a sword. And a shield. And armor.
   
2. Beer brewing. We only love our dogs more.
   
3. Poker. We have pokers. And we gamble.
   
4. Whiskey tasting. We drink more than beer. Oghren found lots of drinks he liked.
   
5. KravMaga. Fancy hand to hand combat. Sometimes people strip you down to your underwear.
   
6. Fancy Name Fishing. Looks like ours. Only we just call it fishing.
   
7. Bouldering. We have boulders.
   
8. Knife throwing. Anywhere that has knives has that.

But I would like to try rocketry and photography. I have used this device to take photos. That one looked different.

Fluster, fear, frightened, all wrapped in a panic. There's no escape, all leading straight to an end. But it's too soon, not enough time, there's still so much to do.

You've all gone very loud. I much preferred when we had the furry things. They were like rabbits, soft, soothing, sweet. You could make a bed of them.

They say this isn't the Fade. But that's what a demon in the Fade would say about the Fade. They also say Cora's here. She wouldn't be stuck in the Fade. Did you come to rescue me?

Has anyone seen Alistair?

Tall, blonde, with a bit of a hapless air? May be wearing a "return to Cora Amell" shirt?

I have grown quite fond of the coffee you have here, though I seem to be in the minority in drinking it without adding milk or sugar or anything else to it. I've tried some of the concoctions on offer but they're far too sweet. I'd say I can't imagine how people could drink them but I've seen far too many doing so. I just don't have that much of a sweet tooth.

I do not appreciate being approached by strangers who are convinced they have "romanced" me. It is disturbing.

I've found a shop that's nothing but hats. I didn't know they had shops like that.

I will admit, this is the most accommodation I've been afforded without some service asked for on my part. I am grateful, but wary.

I was told today that I am not 'elf' enough. I am not certain how much more 'elf' I am supposed to be than what I already am.

This weather reminds me of being back in Haven or Skyhold. While I don't mind the cold as such, I don't miss all the snow and ice. This cold always made putting on my armour in the morning a bit of an exercise in discipline. You'd be surprised how long metal holds the chill.

Maker, it was all well and good not having any of my friends around when something important was on, now it's just weird without them. Who's going to tell me not to start fights in the street now? Who's going to sneak dirty books into my very important papers? Who's going to give me very important papers that I'll pointedly ignore until someone yells at me about it?

I miss Varric.

All this fussing aside about mystery glowing (of which I witnessed none, by the way, I feel very left out), one of the little beasts Sera keeps leaving in my room finally managed to slip past my better judgment and make herself at home. Her little claws are like death, though.

Everyone looks different outside. Layers, covering, cold, constant. The sting of the wind through the tips of their fingers. Needles once inside.

Yes. This makes sense.

I am to understand that humans have built shelters of stone for themselves and communicate only from within those shelters. Perhaps thus they are less apt to be squished. Or set aflame. Or squished and then set aflame and then skewered upon poisoned spikes and eaten.

And it does keep the birds out.
