It's come to my attention that individuals who were caught up in the odd event, which occurred last month at Macy's, have been developing incredible sorts of powers. Specifically, those who were temporarily trapped in that cocoon-like substance.

I was among those who were cocooned, but as of yet, I haven't developed anything out of the ordinary. I'm not quite sure if I ought to be relieved, worried, or offended.

hokay so i don't think i should take out the long fall boots anymore. this'd be the fourth time i slipped. so far, only bruises so no more tempting fate. but on better news, i am getting a hold of this weirdo power i got. a few people are a little weirded out so i just bring my notepad with, and the device edwin gave me.

Why, thank you, good sir.

I'm concerned about your father.

[With some afterthought, Peggy Carter and Sergeant Dugan]

I think there must be something wrong with Howard.

I am so going to go get a gold doughnut tomorrow. Even if it is $100.

A new personal best.

Longest hangover: 78 hours.

Tragically, still trailing behind a 37-year-old Scottish man who managed it for four weeks. Granted, he had a rare disorder, but it still seems like something to aspire to.

That's all folks. I'm now officially on holidays until the new year. Which means I can unwind, watch 20/20 and Dateline true crime reruns, and take personality tests on the internet. I found a short Myers-Briggs test that gives me the same results as the bigger ones so. It's a good time waster, anyway. I'm ENTP. Which surprises actually no one.

Oh -- I'm also looking for book suggestions. I might actually have time to read over the next week and a half or so. I've got The First Bad Man by Miranda July and The Cuckoo's Calling by good 'ole JK, but I'm open to more?

[Stark Industries Employees, Spock]
Just letting you guys know, the building will be open next Monday and Tuesday for independent projects, but from tomorrow until January 4th, normal operations will be shut down.

Spock, if you have a minute, maybe Monday, I'd like to take you on a tour of the facilities.
[Steve Rogers]
Hey, I know how much you like crying. Want to go?

2015 christmas gifts

Who: The whole game!
When: Leading up to Christmas
Where: Under tree. Delivered with bows. Handed to a person. Whatever!
What: Christmas presents!
Rating: Who knows!

Because this game is massive, and even if every character just sent ONE package to anyone, it would end up being so many posts that it would overrun the game. So to save our friends lists from imploding, we the moderators are asking that you fill out this form and reply HERE. It'll make it easier to find (Control-F is a lovely thing!) and we won't have to abuse our scroll button.

Here's how we're going to do it. You will post for one character with everything that they got for their friends/family/etc. Make sure to tag your character and all the characters that yours gave gifts to as soon as you get their information up!

In recognition of the time it can take to determine IC gifts, (properly tagged) gifts can count as a piece of activity for the gifting character for the month of December.

There's nothing quite like the Holidays to make one sentimental. I saw a write-up on Hanukkah, and it made me think of my wife. I'm not Jewish, but she is. This is possibly the first time I ever publicly mentioned this fact; we always kept that bit of information discreet. Likewise, she celebrated her holidays very discreetly. I never felt comfortable celebrating with her, however. Is it offensive of me to want to light a candle in her memory?

Are you both free on Saturday?

Because I told someone we were doing a thing that I don't know if we're doing, but now I've said we're doing it so we sort of have to do it.

Tony's coming over for dinner. And possibly one of his various gender romance/sex friends.

It's comforting that even after all these years, Pearl Harbor Day is still remembered.

The machines are beautiful
more perfect than man
and the must be kept running
any way they can.

The machines are beautiful
And workers mere slaves
Machines will still be running
When we're deep in our graves

The machines are beautiful
Creation of man
They're the strength of the city
They're the heart of the plan
They show no emotion
They will always obey
Machines will still be running
Through the night through the day

Have you made a decision on how you would care to celebrate Thanksgiving? I'm more than happy to cook, but I'll need to know so that I may prepare.

When you're a Hawk, it's a heckuva life, well.
Your arms are as strong as the aim on your rifle.

The Hawks are respected by Liz II, Netanyahu.
The Hawks are the strongest. So guess I mean. Wahoo!

Alternate universe. Very nice. This is... actually a first for me. Or apparently a second. Wish I remembered the first. I'm Captain Jack Harkness and I'm absolutely delighted to meet you all.

By the way, there wouldn't be someone called the Doctor here, by any chance. I'd describe him but he keeps changing. If he's here, you usually know. Subtle isn't his strong suit. This sort of thing tends to be his sort of trouble.

You know the worst thing about all this? I have two guys sat on my couch talking via Angel Radio, like silence is normal.

As delightful as the spices have been with fall, I'm rather looking forward to creating a decor in the shop for the Christmas season. I'm also considering precisely what sort of teas we want to sell this year during this season.

[Kaylee]
Do you want to host a Thanksgiving dinner with me? We could do it for the floor, and of course from the crew that is here from home? And anyone else we want to invite...

[Lando]
It was a lovely evening, even if the notice was short.

Yesterday, I purchaed a curious antique at Widdershins, an beautifully carved green man sculpture. It reminded me of my days in Hertfordshire. The church my family attended had simularly ornate stonework. At 25% off, it was too tempting not to pass.

I must say, that I continue to be deeply concerned about the state of my country. How can I not? The ruddy Nazis continue to blockcade Britain with their battleships and submarines. Not only food, but clothing is being rationed. At least, there hasn't been any air raids since May, but it's little consoluation with so many dead and wounded, more homeless. Prime Minister Churchill's requests for aide from the United States is being debated and only needs your president's approval. If there was only more that could be done.
