[ GARRETT, ANDERS, LIV, BEVERLY ]
So something... odd happened while we were shopping today. There don't appear to be any effects yet but I'm keeping an eye on things. If I start acting strangely, you should alert someone in authority.

2015 christmas gifts

Who: The whole game!
When: Leading up to Christmas
Where: Under tree. Delivered with bows. Handed to a person. Whatever!
What: Christmas presents!
Rating: Who knows!

Because this game is massive, and even if every character just sent ONE package to anyone, it would end up being so many posts that it would overrun the game. So to save our friends lists from imploding, we the moderators are asking that you fill out this form and reply HERE. It'll make it easier to find (Control-F is a lovely thing!) and we won't have to abuse our scroll button.

Here's how we're going to do it. You will post for one character with everything that they got for their friends/family/etc. Make sure to tag your character and all the characters that yours gave gifts to as soon as you get their information up!

In recognition of the time it can take to determine IC gifts, (properly tagged) gifts can count as a piece of activity for the gifting character for the month of December.

I... went by Potts Tower to drop off some paperwork for a client, and I swear I saw a bunch of Muppets wandering around.

I think I need to limit myself to one - and only one - after work drink.

Just a reminder that Ophiuchus will be closed from December 14 until January 18. If anyone has any potion or magical requirements, you have until the 12th to get them to me. Depending on timing and their requirements, I will endeavour to get things done before I leave.

Last year, around the holidays, we all received gifts from the Tesseract, something I've come to understand is a regular occurrence even before then. Though I'd been a little out of practice, I've been playing my violin more in the last year than I had in the previous three. It's not any one thing. I have more time. It's the most luxurious item I own here. And it's a piece of home. What gifts have you used or appreciated most? What would you want to get from home? I'm not much for Christmas lists since I usually forget it even on the day, but at least we know the Tesseract is real, unlike Santa.

And from this day forward it is decreed that the singing of musical numbers, when not presently cast in said musical, shall be contained within the showers of the world.

SciTech I'd like to know what we know about what happened.

The rest of you, good work, but keep your head's up and paying attention. Anomalies like that don't happen in a vacuum and there may be additional things to deal with.

TWIMC, Human Mythology is cancelled today due to the distinct lack of oration. Office hours available by email. Syllabus schedule remains the same.

ETA: Class is uncancelled. Hawke is going to play Pictionary.

I've got awesome science for you to check out. I'll drop it off when things are back to normal.

So opinions on Stark Expo may vary, but the MIND pavilion went off pretty fantastically.

It just goes to show, women can do anything, particularly in STEM fields. And they can do it without being attacked by robots.

I handed out less than half the candy I bought for Halloween, and with the sales... I have enough chocolate for many a sugar high or food coma. It depends how much you eat. So I have to prioritize. Who wants Hersheys, Twizzlers, or Milky Ways? I'm not releasing my clutches on the Reese's peanut butter cups or the Snickers just yet. Could just hide it in my apartment, secret treats whenever I discover them. People do that for cats.

Hey man, are you doing any better? Pretty sure you were three sheets to the wind by the time I saw your post, so I waited.

As fun as our return to the good old days was, I'd like to see readings from the Tesseract, and any other anomalies noticed over the past forty-eight hours.

Ideas or suggestions as to why the population of the city seemed to think they were stuck in a Cary Grant movie will be entertained.

In honor of 1941, I'm attempting to recreate my grandparents' recipes. While I know how it's supposed to taste, it's yet to turn out just right. But half the fun is trying.

Filtered: Grey Wardens / Former Grey Wardens
I have been analyzing tainted and untainted blood from the Hawke brothers to isolate and identify what is responsible for the Calling that Grey Wardens eventually experience with the primary goal of developing a method to neutralize or suppress the Calling in Grey Wardens that arrive through the tesseract. I've eliminated pathogens (anything that causes disease) and immunoresponses (how your body fights off illnesses) between the brothers, and I believe I am close to identifying the taint. My writings tonight have twofold purpose.

First, I would like to confirm my hypotheses by also analyzing other samples of Grey Warden blood, to ensure that it is not simply the result of some illness Carver Hawke faced that Garrett Hawke did not and to analyze its effects on the body over time (to see what it looks like in further and less developed cases). I have no magical abilities with which to manipulate your blood, and I will not label or record any results using identifying information, for what good that will do given the small number of Grey Wardens here.

Second, the Stark Expo is coming up this month, and I do believe I could achieve results faster with input and discussion from other scientists. However, I will not discuss any results in public without express permission of everyone whose health could be affected by this information. I may also be able to present the information without identifying which world the disease comes from to offer further protection. But I will need to inquire about that, if you would like that to be a condition.

Pro tip: Trying to learn how to fire a gun while fighting monsters can result in a broken nose when the recoil(?) makes it fly back and hit you in the face. And a broken toe when it gets dropped on your foot.

And Buffy is making me say this, but yes: she was right and they aren't useful and she's a mean sister (okay I added that part myself)

Now that that's over, I should get my ribs looked at. Not sure whether they're broken or bruised, but if nothing is attacking the tower, I'm going to take the time to have that figured out. It's nothing worth yelling about waiting. I've been injured far worse in elementary school. Don't underestimate pencils.

But boy am I glad to be back to the world of the living, where you can take the elevator in peace.

I can't say I've hallucinated about the Old World often but storming a cazador nest is never one of my brighter ideas. Sure they say it's not one and my levels seem normal so I don't know why I would be hallucinating. But hey you never know. Maybe I've finally lost it.

So. Who is the evil overlord of this place? Is it FRIDAY? Because she seems awful sweet for an overlord.

OOC: posted mid-day

First, my coffee was decaf. Then I stumbled down the stairs on the way to work. Great bruises, by the way. And now, just no. Nope. Not touching anything. Only redeeming grace is that nothing's exploded.

Permission to go home early requested. I'm breaking everything I'm touching. I'm a liability, not an asset, today.
