It's hard to believe that my little boy is six months old. It really does feel like I just found out yesterday that I was pregnant, and now he's rolling over and starting to babble things that might one day be words. I thought I could handle it, but he's growing up and that's made me an emotional mess.

So. New York is expensive, and because no thank you to service industry jobs, nobody's in need of tutoring or babysitting services are they? I mean, I can't exactly provide references here, but I'd be more than happy to go through the usual interviewing process.

Or does anyone know of any place looking to hire a paid intern anywhere? My specialties include: Coffee and pizza delivery, being pretty quick when it comes to filling orders, and I grew up on science so I'm not completely lost when less than socialthere either.

Seriously though. Please save me from a life of serving coffee. Not that there's anything wrong with serving coffee -- the people who do it are like the left ventricle of the world, keeping the rest of us going into the long hours of finals prep -- I'm just kind of not good at it.

It's been some time since he's been on our radar, but it disturbs me that Phineas Mason has disappeared from his hospital room. It's a an awfully spry move for someone in a coma. And that coma makes it difficult to plan ahead. Someone wants some toys. Could be HYDRA. Could be an up and comer. Could be old friends. He wasn't that chatty last time I was in a room with him.

Suppose a hello is in order -- my name is Miranda Lawson. This isn't the earth I'm familiar with, but I'm glad the latent stench of piss is a constant for New York. From the information I was given, the year is currently 2015, which is approximately 135 years prior to my birth. Wonderful.

For the first time since what feels like October, the entire apartment slept a full night. I didn't think it was possible to love my kid more until he didn't need to be fed at 2 a.m.

We've got a sighting in Minsk. Zlakob's finally finished with his disappearing act. Which is actually pretty spooky that someone can manage that.

Which means we head out in an hour to try and figure out where on Earth he's been.

And announcements. Kane's apparently gone back through the tesseract. So you lot are stuck with me in charge without her to play nice for you. And one of the Steve Rogers' has signed up with us. Welcome aboard Doom Squad, Cap.

You'd think after so much time in space I'd be glad to settle down, but I guess I haven't gotten over the culture shock yet. This feeling of being fictional really kind of takes the gravity out of everything, makes my universe -- which I used to think was so vast -- feel so small. It's overwhelming, I guess, and I can't say I'm getting comfortable.

At the same time, it's comforting to know that even universes away I can get a good steak sandwich.
