So I watched that thing everyone was talking about...the super ball. No super bowl. I didn't find anything very incredible about it but then again I didn't understand most of it. I did however really enjoy the show that followed it. Elementary. I found it very interesting and I will be looking into that some more. Probably tomorrow. Apparently there are others.

The Compitalia was well done by all involved. I have been remiss in saying so; however, I greatly enjoyed myself. I have not had pig that good in many months. Thank you to those involved in the Youth Center for placing together such an enjoyable time.

Congratulations to the champions. Furthermore, a congratulations to all who competed; as I said, it was truly well done.

Apparently looking up information about myself on this internet thing isn't the best idea. Not only do I make poor eye wear choices in the future, but I also die in what becomes another war against You-Know-Who. But, hey, at least I make it to the '90s, because my brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephews, and parents didn't. I mean, honestly. Did this writer just decide to throw everything at our family because, why the hell not?

On the plus side, at least I become Head of the DMLE.

So this place still sucks. But at least my job doesn't suck. It shocks me, though, the kind of pathetic-ass people who come into the gym. Like, this fat-ass woman came in the other day and wanted me to teach her how to use all the equipment and shit, and all I could think was a) dammit, her fat ass was going to break all the machines, and I was going to have to calibrate the fucking stuff again, and b) I so would have taken out the pathetic bitch at the Cornucopia. What the hell, seriously.

I wanted to tell her that she'd be better off just walking her lazy ass down the street or what the fuck ever since she wasn't going to be able to do shit until she lost some of her nasty fat rolls. Or maybe tell her a few less hot dogs and burgers a night might help. Disgusting shit. But I didn't. See, I'm learning to be less of an ass. But I've never seen anyone like that before, and hope I never do again.

I stumble on some writing that was a story. I mistook it for our legends. I have later been informed its something called fanfiction. I am beyond horrified by what I read. I watched my show, Castle, last night. It was a new episode so I figured I would watch it and see what the show is like. Boy, am I glad to have missed that awkward situation. Aside from that, it was enjoyable to watch because to be honest, I'm fantastic. I'll be making it a habit to watch the show, for the good and the bad. If I were in charge of the show, I would have shown a scene of Beckett and Meredith talking over dinner so that I would know what they said about me.

ATTENTION ALL WARRIORS, & FIGHTERS

On the 26th of January, the Potts Tower Youth Center is holding the Compitalia (for more information please click here and here.

The Compitalia is a Roman holiday that honors the lares of the crossroads. We are going to resurrect the tradition of the Compitalia Games, giving everyone who is interested a chance to compete. The games will include gladiator type games, with fighters using their weapons of choice to compete against each other until we have our winners. There will be two divisions: Amateurs (those who would compete just for fun), and Professionals (warriors, hero types who fight in battles most of the time). There is a one time$10.00 entrance fee for Professionals which will cover all events; Amateurs compete free, and are welcome to compete in events that are outside their areas of expertise. Proceeds go towards the Potts Tower Youth Center.

Winners receive laurel wreaths and extreme bragging rights.

The competition will be held in the Potts Tower Gym, except for the foot races which will be held at Stuyvesant High School.

Competitions for each division include:

- Combat with weapons
- Hand to hand combat
- Long and short footraces
- Long Jump
- Hammer Throw
- Discus
- Javelin
- Archery

Those interested should sign up here, or email myself (pipermclean@pottstower.com) or Octavian, the Youth Centers expert in Roman culture (octavian@pottstower.com) no later than the 16th of January.

Victory feast will be held at the end of the day to honor the winners. There is a $5 entry fee, which for the Professional competitors, is covered by their entry fee. All welcome.

Detailed schedule to events to come when all registrations are in.

NOTE: No human sacrifice, no fights to the death, no crippling injuries.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.
