The Doorway: a panfandom game

Apparently we're not quite done with holidays just yet. This planet sure does like them, but I hear it might have fireworks. I do like those.

This Christmas seems a fine sort of holiday. I am sure my kith and kin would enjoy it immensely, were they here. I was however surprised when the box I received from the tesseract opened to reveal the Arkenstone. I thought it a fake at first but I was soon disabused of that idea. There is no stone like it.

Thank you for the gifts, Darcy. They were very thoughtful and, in the case of the pocket watch, most beautiful. I was not aware that human men were hirsute enough for such beard products. I shall have to look around and see if there is anything like the oil we use on our hair.

A Christmas without something going wrong! I don't know if I should feel relieved or be worried that something might happen. I've heard plenty of stories about the strange things that can happen here.

Still, it was a nice Christmas, and I loved my gifts!

I think I know how everything unpacked and the place actually looks livable.

Does anyone want to summarize every other fifteen minutes of the Force Awakens? I've seen back home, but it was next to impossible with the triplets here.

I am very well stocked now in the way of art supplies. At least for maybe a month lol. But I think Declan and I need to do some fingerpainting today. Anyone with wee little ones are especially invited but adults too. And don't worry, all the paint being used for this is non-toxic.

So I'm pretty sure the red hoodie has become my trademark.

New Years Eve. Has anyone made plans?

Well, this was quite possibly the first time I've ever experienced such a balmy Christmas. Not that it really mattered, given that I was indisposed for much of the occasion. And not that I'm complaining, of course. I'll take a warm New York over a frozen York any day. Or flooded, for that matter. Shame about that.

It's hard to believe it's already almost 2016. I've never made a New Year's Resolution before, but I'm wondering if now might be a time to start?

Is this first day of the year also a day of feasting?

I thought at first these were a bit too small, but they look quite functional really. Though I imagine these would work best in cities like this one, or London -- anywhere else would be a bit much, I think.

I hope I'm not bothering you, Mr. Stark, but I wanted to let you know that I finished the engine you asked for. Actually I don't think you REALLY asked, only I wasn't sure if you were joking and I wanted to be absolutely certain my grade wouldn't be -- I know it's the holidays and classes haven't started again yet but I left the engine as well as an outline detailing everything I did. There was plenty that I could apply from previous lessons, naturally, but there were still a few things I had to research elsewhere (I expect that's alright, and of course I notated and referenced each instance). Also I feel it's important to note that magic was not used to make it functional. I did use magic to manage organizing the parts before I put it all together, but as I said, it wasn't used for the actual engine itself.

So...I hear New Year's is a big day for drinking. Anyone know where the best place is to get completely fucked up?

That's the fictional total of all the money humanity has fictionally spent saving Matt Damon. Some guy on the internet figured out the amount, and I've got to say ... I just don't know if Matt Damon is worth it. He's not my Damsel in Distress of choice.

I think if I was the hero in a rescue mission movie, I think I'd want the actor playing the person I saved to be [...] I don't know. Maybe Jon Hamm. He seems like he'd be good breeding stock.

What about everyone else. If you were in a movie and had to rescue someone from Mars or whatever, who would you want them played by?
