Well, I know what I'm thankful for this holiday season.

I'm thankful for the time I've gotten to have here, the people I've met, and the fact that the tesseract has never left me alone without family from my world for very long. I'm glad, too, that this world's managed to survive everything that's been thrown its way, and that I've gotten to hear so many stories of what other people have been through. I hope I'll get to take at least some unconscious part of everything I've learned here back with me, whenever I end up going back through the tesseract.

Nice Earth holiday, Thanksgiving. I like any excuse to eat good food with good friends.

If I had to get stuck on any planet, glad it was this one.

I ate too much yesterday I think. But damn that food was good. Also Declan looked handsomely adorable in his outfit for his first Thanksgiving here.

It was interesting to see the parade yesterday in person. I've often heard about it but never saw a part of it. It was incredible to see the amount of work that went into pulling it all off.

I'm still full.

Yesterday was interesting. Teddy and I rode on the Planters’ Nuts Mobile float in the parade. Overall, I have to say it was a really great day. Seeing everyone, ALL THE FOOD, and help saving the Thanksgiving Day Parade, you're welcome, NY!

I am sure this will not be a surprising announcement for anyone that knows me, but it's DECORATING TIME.

There will be cookies for anyone that want to help me decorate! Yes, you do have to put up with my singing, and do not just come in and take the cookies.

Well, that was one of the most interesting experiences I've had so far here. If this Black Friday thing means the coffee shops are open much earlier, then I can't say much bad about it myself.

People fighting each other over shoes, however, is something I could go without.

The emphasis people here placed on eating yesterday is almost as ludicrous as the fervor some people are exhibiting about shopping today.

Now that it's after Thanksgiving, Buffy, we need to go find a Christmas tree.

Singing and dancing were activities that I had never experienced until recently, unless duelling with a lightsaber could count as dancing, and I don't think that singing is something I'm any good at. I also learned that it's very frustrating to want to get up and dance when I'm supposed to be taking it easy for a little while. Thankfully, I don't believe that I irritated my room-mates (I hope) to the point that they wanted to knock me out with a heavy object.

So I'm sure your future life has plenty of weird this season, but I could bet a drink my weird tops yours. There's always wondering if you wake up with new memories, but as a vampire, I always figured new memories is about it. Heck, I was once almost a thousand years older, and still looked exactly the same. But now... I wouldn't even know.

I'm thankful that the singing is over, and that I'm still in control. I'm also grateful for my friends letting this wanderer back into their lives.

I was trying to offload my latest run of worn trousers at the Goodwill when someone intervened. In their mad rush for something no one else could get, they paid handsomely for twenty pairs of trousers of various sizes. "Christmas all wrapped up." They liked the authentic worn look. Then three others charged me with finding the same sort of deals for them. I've worn my feet across the city the whole day long, but it paid well, and clothes are not going to waste.

I've never been Black Friday shoppin before--without Mama and Daddy anyway. I bought so many cds I'm a little embarrassed, but I haven't heard any new music in almost 3 years before I came here. For a brief moment, I forgot why I never leave the house on Black Friday. And then someone elbowed me in the eye on their way to the check out counter with an arm full of food processor, and I remembered. All I wanted was a new coffeemaker because mine stopped working this morning.
