I realized last night as I was sitting trying to plan next week's book club meetings, that we got so involved in discussion we didn't actually decide on a book. So I came up with the following idea, which was why don't we read some traditional holiday titles during the month of December. So those of you who are in the book club who might wish to suggest some titles feel free to do so below.

The reason I'm not using a specific filter is because I'd like to invite anyone who maybe isn't typically a member of the book club, or who is from another reality or time where the holiday seasons are different, to join us this month in particular.

Selections can include any holiday titles that are appropriate to the month of December and short stories or picture books can be selected at all. If we have a number of those, we might read several books and discuss several of them.

So I'll recommend a classic, Dicken's Christmas Carol, but that's just an opening suggestion - I'm taking nominations for this endeavour.

All right everyone I am going to have a delightful dinner on Thursday at my apartment. I've been watching like, a hundred cooking shows, and Giles is going to help me with it and you will want to plan on coming over and being here and having the best turkey in the entire Tower.

The only thing I need to know is WHO is planning on being here so I know how many pounds of potatoes I should be mashing, you know?

So - thursday, 1pm, my apartment, bring your own drink, but everything else will be taken care of. :D

Anyone else up for skipping the turkey meals and hitting up a Chinese buffet instead, then doing some Thursday shopping with me?

And cue the Christmas music at work. Nothing gets me in the spirit like Christmas music. Pandora is a god send right now.

If anyone needs a place to go for Thanksgiving I'll be cooking a feast. You're more than welcome to come for dinner. Just let me know.

I think I have more to be thankful for this year than I have in a very long time.

I'm quite sure I feel the same about shopping on a holiday that is meant for family and togetherness as I do about shopping on Sundays: do it at risk of thine eternal soul. Additionally, it's quite rude to people who won't otherwise have a chance to spend the day with their loved ones. Surely a corporation's bottom line isn't more important then their employees well-being.
