(Assume this was posted Friday - life fail) Those of you who are coming out for war games this weekend, it should be a good time. Sully and I have put in some additional obstacles on the ranch so the terrain looks to be a good challenge. The weather seems like it will hold up.
- There are six teams of students. Team leaders are the students from my class: Mikasa Ackerman, Tris Prior, Illyana Rasputina, James Roges, Scott Summers, and Flash Thompson
- Teams may form alliances or partnerships. Yes, you can doublecross each other.
- Those you have recruited will be on your teams and the rest of the students will be divided equally among the team leaders. (OOC: Handwaving npcs so that each team has 4-5 players)
- There will be 2-3 designated adult referees. The rest of the adults will be 'variables', not on your team and trying to prevent you from reaching your objective.
- Kate Beckett will be serving as HQ at the main cabin. If you get hurt, go see her. She'll be coordinating comms with the other adults.
Saturday Saturday's game will be a variation of capture the flag. Each team will receive a flag to hide. Each team flag is worth one point. There is a central flag which will be guarded by adults and worth five points. The first team to get five points wins. (In the event of a tie, we will figure out a tie breaker.) Everyone gets a paintball gun, so you can take out opposing players that way as will (you must hit the sensor for a 'kill').
Saturday night will be a cookout and campfire with mulled apple cider and s'mores.
Sunday Sunday's game will be the
Texas variant of Manhunt. Each team is designated a color and a base. Each player wears two team bandanas, and each team captain wears three. At the start of the game each team is given a designated amount of time to hide, after which they may begin hunting each other. When a team member is caught one bandana is removed. All collected bandanas are kept in the team's home base. If a player loses all of his bandanas, he must return to his home fort where he must stay until he receives a replacement bandana of his own team's color and may guard the collected bandanas while there. Four wildcard bandanas are also hidden across the playing field, which can also be given to players who have lost their bandana(s). If it is used, it should be replaced by a team color bandana if one is available, and then the wild will be re-hidden. To win, a team must collect ten bandanas of a single color, as well as two of a different color. A single "wildcard" bandana may contribute to a winning score as the eleventh or twelfth bandana. Players must wear their own team bandanas and carry bandanas they have collected. Adults will be playing as wildcard bandanna wearing rogues.
Looking forward to seeing you all. Spots are still open if you want to sign up.
