Hard to believe it was seventy years ago that the Forces françaises de l'intérieur -- the French Resistance -- took back Paris. I still remember the parades down the Champs-Élysées as though they were last night.

I was given two tickets to La Bohème for this Friday at the Metropolitan Opera. Second row, Grand Tier. Obviously I intend to make use of one myself but if someone else would like the other ticket, you are more than welcome to it.

I know I said I'd be willing to tutor people taking Latin, chemistry, and general math.. and I still am. But for personal reasons, I have to put that off for some time and I'll let you know when I'm ready to start.

Over the weekend I took Anna to see a Broadway musical. I realize now that I should have asked for guidance in choosing what we saw. As it turned out, Hedwig and the Angry Inch was quite the eye-opening introduction to Broadway. We want to see more shows, but I would like to see something that is a little more tame.

My sources haven't given me anymore information relating to the Winter Soldier. I had been pursuing a lead but it hasn't turned up anything more than the information I shared last time on him. As far as Bucky's concerned it's a dead end for now.

Wow... tune out of pop culture for awhile, tune back in and find out 1) they're screening a horror movie about the Paris catacombs despite what happened not that long ago, and 2) they're airing a TV show next month about my hometown and it's not even the first one.
