[OOC Note: Robert has been rebuilding the Lutece Field machine at SI and today he put a small scale model to the test. It worked, in that it levitated the objects it was aimed at, but given he's rebuilding it from memory, there were a few glitches and after several minutes, it more or less exploded. In small scale. Robert wasn't hurt and nothing was damaged except for the machine and possibly some of the objects being levitated, which had a very sudden reintroduction to the floor. Robert is alternating between irritated and smug. Very, very smug. More so than usual.]

Did any of you have trouble getting back to a regular life after... everything?

After today, there will be eleven more days of school and eighteen days until my birthday. I'd say we should open up the pool on the 13th floor in celebration but it looks like the youth center's already got that covered with a pool party the day after school ends. Anyone want to come with me to get stuff for the pool? I had a look at the stuff in storage and I think some of it needs to be retired, mostly the pool noodles. I don't know what you all did with them last summer but man, we definitely need some more. How else am I going to have fake light saber fights with Tony if there aren't any noodles of the right color?

I am going to need a serious break this weekend. Work, study, and training have been my life the past couple of weeks. Not that I'm complaining! I'm just glad I arrived here when I did. I can't imagine what it's like to try and catch up shortly before exams. I heard there is a sing-a-long movie night tomorrow? That's a good start even though I'm not much of a singer. All my friends should come with me so I don't feel self-conscious.

Tomorrow I want an inventory of our stores. We've had so many missions leave out in the past few days that I don't want to be caught high and dry without the essentials for ourselves or for anyone else who might be leaving in the next few days. Linden texted me this afternoon that she tested positive for a stomach virus, so she's out at least for the rest of the week, and Fuentes is still out with a herniated disc, so we'll be short-handed. ETA: And Sarissa has been assigned to a team for a mission beginning tomorrow.

I expect inventory lists of each supply closet on my desk by the end of the day, along with lists of the supplies we absolutely need the most.

I decided to look into my family tree over the weekend. My grandmother loved geneaology and passed along her love of it to me, and the memories that the Tesseract gave me a few weeks ago included some research of my own that I had done. I remember a great deal from childhood, but the refresher was nice, and it carried over. Unsurprisingly, my research here came to nothing. I know that I'm essentially fictional and come from a fictional universe, but I have to admit that something within me hoped that there might have been a shred of truth to our story. Even something as simple as there having been a Jessel Howard who had a child that she named Edward would have satisfied me.
