the best thing about this place so far is - aside from thinking i'm still dreaming of course - is that the food isn't rationed yet. i walked into a supermarket this afternoon and was able to anything i wanted, and more. lucky charms. i haven't had those in a dog's age. twinkies, when did those come back? tootsie rolls.

I have decided I need to step out of the lab once in awhile and be social. I feel after grinding away at a project in record time, this weekend deserves social time. Would anyone like to do anything?

Can't remember the question being asked or answered, so figured I can be social for a minute. Yeah, I got that people wake up with new memories. Any cases of regressing?

In my spare time I have undertaken the project of attempting to replicate the voice command system that we used on the Enterprise. It has been a pleasant challenge as the computer systems in existence in this time are significantly inferior to the ones I am used to using. Needless to say, the first step in the project is to upgrade the computers to use trinary code so I fear the completion of this project may take some time. Nevertheless, it is a pleasant challenge that serves as an adequate way to pass the time it takes the existing computers to run programs and simulations.

While I do miss Cardiff quite a bit (especially because American English is still hard on my ears at times), I must say that the crisp autumn weather is becoming something of a delight. Not quite cold enough for a coat, but perhaps investing in a scarf or two may be advisable.

I am not one of those who understands the obsession with pumpkin flavored everything (and if your coffee is made up mostly of pumpkin syrup, sugar and milk then it's not really coffee), but I can appreciate a good mug of mulled cider.

So this pancake business is starting to get serious, huh? How many folks are coming over Tuesday? Bad on us though, apparently yesterday was official pancake appreciation day. How could we miss that?

Then I found this gem. It takes pancakes to a way more tastier (and prettier) level. How come our stuff never looks like that in the end? Pay close attention to recipes like Double-Stuffed Oreo Pancakes and Chocolate Chip Candied Bacon with Nutella Syrup Pancakes, or even the Whole Wheat Cherry Vanilla Pancakes.

Can we get the diabetes? I think I have the diabetes and it's totally Jessica's fault.

I feel like I'm back on the dark side of moon, only upside down.

You know, my neighbor. She always greeted me when I made it back home after a fight, always offered me those bloody muffins she made from scratch and when I came clean about being a vampire, she fearlessly offered me inside to play mahjong with her friends. When I'd try to let them win, they'd cuss me out for it. We'd gossip about Passions and all those little shows, share pictures of the husbands, wives and the grandkids. It was great.

Why can't they be here? Or George? My little bugs? I feel rotten about it, because they're stuck on Easter Island living in a cave after their spaceship was destroyed.

I HAD A SPACESHIP. And it crashed. Does that earn me a spot in the line of famous space captains? No Star Strek, I don't speek geek.

I'm going mad, aren't I? I'm going mad. Can someone offer me muffins so I can decline, politely? Please. Does anyone play mahjong? This is my soul catching up with me, isn't it? I knew that was too easy. Who spends a few weeks crazy in a school basement anyway. It's perfectly halfassed. It's obviously not the proper way to handle these things, but there's no manual. Angel forgot to write a manual, so I blame him.
