Things are finally making sense now that I'm not sitting around bored silly. Plus I have to admit, hearing a giggle at the other end of the phone is a massive plus since I would rather smile than frown. Add in the technical challenges and I'm pretty happy.

Ugh.... apparently my show's back, which I am two weeks' late noticing since I've been working and I have a girlfriend. I'm not sure how I feel about it but avoidance seems to be the best way.

Well, the quest for Old Nate in Washington failed. Though not an epic fail, because if you haven't seen Parker rocking a beautiful designer gown, then you haven't lived. And you really haven't lived if you haven't gone down a side of a building with her. While she's wearing a designer gown.

The search continues though.

And we are back just in time for more snow.

So watching events that you only heard about and even some that you didn't is an interesting experience even when they are in your past.

I was thinking either Greg Smith Group or Hats and Shades for the band? This one is a tribute to the Blues Brothers and could be interesting given the plot of that film. I'm having trouble finding the number of people in the department but once I do I shall let you know.

So it turns out that all the shows and movies that I enjoyed back home are available here which I am grateful for - though it was a shame having to sign up for yet another Netflix account it will be worth it in the while. I've spent the past few days marathoning the original Battlestar Galactica - though I did notice President Roslin or someone who looks exactly like her from the new series is here too which is amazing. I always admired the President and just the plain guts that she had, the ability to stand up and do what was right even if she personally didn't agree with it.

Still, now I need to figure out what I'm going to watch next. I'm a big fan of science-fiction if people want to make any suggestions?

Thank you so much for pointing me in the direction of the NYPD Computer Lab, I am beginning my training tomorrow and am very much looking forward to it.

For a change all is well in the land of Garcia because I got the job! I start Monday as part of the NYPD's Technical Assistant Response Unit. Sure I'll be on desk duty for a few weeks because of the shooting in my world (have to get medical clearance once I heal up a bit more in other words) but I'm just happy to finally do something besides set up my small scale home office and watch TV.

Also, I'm curious: has anyone heard of me or encountered me before? It was mentioned that I might have been here previously, which is hard to comprehend but certainly not as impossible as one might think.

I know some of you have mentioned that you stopped watching your show, or reading your source material, because it got to be too much. But I've been wondering lately about something else - how much does what you see or read affect what you do here? I've noticed lately that I'll react to something from the show and, in many instances, I will compare something that happens in my life here to what I've seen playing out on television rather than relying on my own memories and experiences.

Just seems a bit disconcerting. The easy thing is to stop watching, but I feel its easier said than done. I want to know what is happening at home, however fictional it may be.

So those marshmellow things... so glad that those are gone. I mean, they're cute, but all it did was make me miss Joe Friday. Maybe I need a new dog.

It looks like this unplanned holiday won't last much longer if all goes to plan, I interview for the Technical Assistance Response Unit on Monday. Cue happy dance!

Thanks to the electronic madness I was delayed in doing this but can I book a appointment within the next few days? I was pulled here in the aftermath of being shot by an unsub (criminal) in my world and I'm supposed to touch base with a doctor before too much longer.

I submitted an application to the NYPD today. It won't be like home, but I figured I need a job and Kenzi and I aren't getting enough cases to make it in New York just doing PI work.

I'm an imaginary character on a television show, based on a set of movies, which are based on a set of books. And I've been taken to a universe in which Captain America and Iron man exist as real people and I've been interrogated by SHIELD to make sure I'm not completely crazy. Pepper Potts got a tower with her name on it and I'm supposed to live there with Harry Potter, Princess Leia, and about a hundred other characters. And I'm supposed to believe this isn't all an elaborate hallucination caused by my being lobotomized.

Have I got that about right?

Good morning, New York I have to say this wasn't the situation I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Of course given what I know I shouldn't be too surprised but a wormhole that pulled me across the country and very likely into an alternative reality wasn't on the list of things I was expecting. Of course the fact that there's superheroes in this one is surprising given the number of possibilities there are for alternative universes out there. I find myself grateful though that this universe is so familiar to the one I came from. Though, I do find that I have to admit the fact that I'm a fictional character here is odd. I've already googled this television show I'm on and I have to say there's some really interesting information on it especially about my future. Those pictures of half naked Oliver are good too.

I'm Felicity by the way and yes I know I'm babbling but that's a nervous habit of mine. So I did quiz the people at SHIELD and after awhile they did open up - there's Star Trek and Star Wars people here? That is AWESOME. I grew up watching those shows/movies with my family and they've always held a special place in my heart and they said people from the reboot were here too? I imagine there's a lot more people here that I can't wait too meet too for that matter. I'm not that good with people though but I want to meet you all and learn all about your worlds.

Now I suppose I should probably post this introduction post and figure out what other differences there are between my world and this one and explore the tower some more. Thankfully New York is set up the same so it won't be that hard to navigate and here I go again....
