The Doorway: a panfandom game

Finally, my last exam (and the school year) is over. Drinks are on me tonight, for anyone who wants to join me down at Sam's.

Commencement is on the 21st. I'll be walking the stage, assuming nothing apocalyptic happens to distract me from it. You know how it goes.

Prom is so much better the second time around.

The last time I went to prom was 2001. And it was a disaster. I've got the dress, I've got the date, is there anything I need to be aware of? With how different things are in this decade, I'm assuming prom has changed as well.

A few months ago I approached many of you to create a loose network of women who were involved within the sciences within this world.

I still think this would be a worthy idea to pursue. There are some of us refugees that have become more established within our careers and several more native scientists that have shown up on the network. If anyone is still interested, I would not be adverse to starting up gathering for us all to discuss our mutual interests and successes here.

Perhaps brunch to start?

Here I thought I was getting a special power. Seeing someone's aura is even more confusing when you're not even sure what you're looking at. I should look up more information about them. Not that I mean to expose anything but I am curious. I honestly didn't think it was a real thing

Now I can tell how Max the stone wall is feeling without him even telling me. It's easier than before! I rather like seeing auras.

Thanks to this aura-viewing and the consequential research, I think I'm going to swear off Skittles. For at least half a year. Or just a month.

I'd say tomorrow but I'm not sure if seeing auras on a bunch of people at the mall will keep my focus and I don't know when this is going to go away. Instead, Astrophysics homework is on the top of the to-do list.

So. Hi.

I'm Peter and I work as an intern for Stark Resilient and Tony Stark and he thought it would be a good idea is I sort of shadowed you this summer after my finals are done. You know, be your intern. Help you with the science. I swear I'm good for it. Make sure you don't start out good and turn evil, like Sean Bean in every movie.

I've signed up for classes this summer. It's a little anxiety-inducing because I haven't taken classes of any sort in years and it's been even longer than that since I've taken any for Muggles. But I am also going to take some from the SHIELD educational services so that I can hopefully brush up.

I always wanted to be a healer at home, but I never got the opportunity, and it seems I never will at home. But considering I'm still here and people seem to stay for a very long time sometimes, I've decided I'm going to start classes for nursing so maybe I can become a nurse in this reality and help people here. I have no idea if I'll be here long enough to complete it, but I ultimately decided that it doesn't really matter. It's the journey that is important isn't it?

What an extraordinary day! And an extraordinarily long one. I pinched myself six times in my first hour of being here, to be certain that I wasn't dreaming. But I was told, very briefly, how to operate this machine, and also told that I might introduce myself. I'm Mrs. Anne Blythe, lately of Glen St. Mary, PEI. I've never been outside of Canada before now, and it tickles me to think about what Mrs. Lynde would say about me being in New York City.

Thor, are you and your friends on this network? Thank you for being so kind today. I've never had mead before, and I probably never will again, but it was an experience I won't soon forget.
