My plans for Saturday night: Eat so much I end up with the world's biggest food baby. Drink so much I forget where I live.

My plans for Sunday: Regret everything I did on Saturday night.

I've got this week off and I've been playing the game that comes after mine - Far Cry 4. It's a stand alone, not a sequel. Ajay Ghale is pretty badass but it has the best damn easter egg at the start of the game. I laughed so much. Guess there is a benefit to doing as you're told.

I'm sorry you had to see all of that. It was bad enough having the darkest moments of my life broadcast daily in syndication -- but I never wanted anyone else to have to live them.

Jesus. I get memories, Mike goes home the next day. I was in the kitchen getting a midnight snack and I heard Mike say something and then the tv went off. Thought he needed something, no Mike. Thought he might already be in his bedroom with Audrey, no dice. And no Mike anywhere in the place. So unless someone has him hidden somewhere, he's gone. Charlie's still here, so I guess that's something.

Those of you on the 9th and 10th floors, maybe give Aud a few days, go to a housing assistant on one of the other floors. She's having a hard time.

I've skimmed enough of this network to have figured out a couple things:

1. I'm pretty much stuck here.
2. Until, apparently, I randomly disappear.
3. I've been here before. Creepy.
4. I am a very, very ugly crier.
5. Being able to see my friends by googling their names is not comforting.
6. I need a job. Or at least spend less of my stipend on wine until I get a job, that was a mistake.
7. My Valentine's Day plans are thoroughly ruined, but... honestly the guy I was dating was casual and the more I think about it, the more on the fence I am about getting all up in that business anyway. I'm definitely the hot one in that relationship, but at what cost?

Tell me you actually have Valentine's Day plans for Chloe, because so help me god if your idea of a romantic Feb. 14th (on a Saturday!) for your just-made-it-official girlfriend is brooding on the roof while she watches Netflix, I will hurl something out a window.

I can't decide whether hot and dry is better or worse than hot and humid.

I do know one thing though. Either one is better than freezing my balls off in New York.

I always enjoy a good game of poker as much as the next person, especially because luck is as much a factor as skill. Nice to have that sort of unpredictability. That being said, it seems a little suspicious at the number of Solo's who one at Poker night. I thought luck was in my favor, but then I lost to Anakin in the last round. Sure you didn't use some jedi tricks there, Anakin?

Good game to all and I look forward to the next game.

Damn, it's good to have the whole Christmas/New Year thing behind me. It sucks doing that without my family but I'm also kind of glad I skipped it this year. Even if I was home, family is a little thin on the ground. My fault

But it looks like I'm through my whole training/probation period at work. Just been told they're going to deploy me in the next week or two. I'm not sure where I'm going yet or how long I'm going to be gone but I do know it's going to be hot.

I think I'm gonna watch those hobbit movies tomorrow.

No, I lied. There's football on, I'm watching that.

I'm not exactly in the Christmas spirit this year, unless you count the booze type of spirit, so I've been playing the sequel to my game. Not that it's really a sequel. There's no continuity or anything but, you know, I was in Far Cry 3 and this is Far Cry 4, so technically a sequel. I probably shouldn't play since there's probably half a chance this Ajay Ghale dude might turn up here, courtesy of the tesseract, but it's a pretty cool game. And if he does turn up, we can bond over being stuck in crazy-ass places being chased around by psycho lunatics. This Pagan Min guy is crazier than Vaas and I didn't think that was possible.

Huh. I'm not sure why the tesseract thought I either wanted or needed that damn Chinese knife I spent so much time hunting down on the islands. That things got some pretty freaking bad memories attached to it.

Hey, you. Settling in okay?

I may be in the minority here but I'm actually kind of glad I'm here and not at home for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

And now that I write that down, I realise it makes me sound like a douchecanoe.

But, you know, if I was back home this would be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas without Grant, first with Riley still flinching every time I startle him, first one in a while without Liza or Daisy coming round. Yeah, it may be a bit cowardly of me but I'm happy to do without that for a while. I know I'll face it if I ever get taken back but for now, I reckon I'm just going to get stupid drunk on both days.

It's not every day that one lands on Earth and is offered a spacious apartment for free. Perhaps the Avengers I have encountered previously could learn a thing from these ones. I'm grateful for the fresh start, though if we could find a way to summon my ship, I'd be even more grateful.
