It's kind of sad seeing adults get all excited about prom.

I thought I'd get to know some of the people I'll probably have classes with. (Also, I should really get on with getting to know my roommate. Since, uh, we LIVE together and all...) There was that baseball thing, but there's gotta be something else besides just prom that can get us socializing and all that. I don't think we have the space to declare a slumber party, unless someone knows of one we could use.

So, who are you people? Anyone I've missed talking to so far who also went to Xavier's, or even the Massachusetts Academy (ugh)?

I signed up for volunteering today with www.newyorkcares.org. I'll be working with the Art Explorers at Hudson Guild tomorrow. I'm not exactly sure what I'll be doing just as of yet, but I'm not working yet and I do have time on my hands to try and be useful. I thought it would worthwhile. Besides who can pass up working with kids and art?

Alright. Listen up, network. I need someone who is a graphic designer to design a logo for my shop. It will be displayed on all of the shop's stationary, signage, media content and advertising so it will get a lot of use. That being said, you better be good. Don't go wasting my time with that illustrator crap. I want something professional looking. As professional as a magic shop can look

I'm going to have to go shopping this afternoon. I picked up a few things the other day when I got here, but nothing green. Not to mention, I can't just wear the same three hoodies forever, I guess.

The ever brilliant Sherlock Holmes suggested I should organize an outing to the parade tomorrow morning. I planned on going anyway, but if anyone wants to come along it should be pretty giant. And crowded.

I've been here about a day now, and there's one thing I can't figure out.

Why?

When people start going through the Gate, there's a reason for it. You don't screw around with things like that unless you've got something important pushing you to take the risk. Thing is, people are are conspicuously not missing pieces around here, so who's the one opening the Gate in the first place, and with what? Yeah, sure, it's that Tesseract thing, but Tesseract's just a name. There's got to be a trail to who and what.

I'll go ahead and say this right now. I'm going to find that trail, and I'm going to follow it to my brother, and I don't give a damn who gets in my way.

This is all just poppycock, isn't it? I'm going to wake up and not be surrounded by people from all sorts of weird realms, aren't I?

Because honest to Merlin, this is some strange bullshit.

Three months ago I certainly had no idea I'd be living in New York and teaching Physical Education by day and bar tending at night. I miss playing pro Quidditch, naturally, but I'm honestly having a great time here.

We've got a great lot of people here. You're all alright in my book.

What in the actual hell? This is weird, even by the standards my life has set for me lately. I mean, my life has gotten pretty insane, but this is just.. I have no words.
