This is my second Valentine's Day ever, since we didn't really celebrate anything like this back home, at least in the Zephrah part of Tal'Dorei. I think the idea of celebrating love as a holiday is a nice one, but I'm also just someone who likes having added chances to show people, romantic, platonic, familial, or something in between, that you care.

And I understand that roses are a popular flower to give to express that and while I do like roses and usually have a magical blue one on me at all times, I just wanted to share some others, in case you were looking for options to give to another or yourself or you just like flowers: ( Cut for flowers! )

Anyway, happy Valentine's day to everyone out there, but especially to Dorian. Love you, Dor.

I could probably forget about ever trying to go through even one full semester with a perfect attendance.

We have over 30 missing Outlanders so far and more names are still coming in. The portal they went through is still open, and now protected by a barrier so we don't lose track of anyone else for now, but it does seem to be a working portal, but we cannot guarantee that it is a two-way street, given our friends and family have not stepped back through yet we have to assume the way may be blocked on their side.

We still plan to launch a rescue mission, but the group going through also needs to be aware of the risks and be able and willing to set up communications in the event that a return trip won't be immediate.

The DOA is going to be confirming the list of those missing so we have exact names and numbers, and studying the portal to ensure it's safe to travel through.

The current plan is that tomorrow we'll send a group through, if you wish to sign up to be on the rescue mission, put your name here and be at the DOA offices in the morning for a full briefing. Pack ONE bag, no larger than what you can carry and run with, and bring your weapons of choice.

When I was a child the New Year was celebrated further into the spring, closer to when the plants would start to bloom and the planting of that year's crops. It was strange to see it celebrated in the middle of winter, but it was nice to see it celebrated. As the blight took hold most stopped having the same feats and celebrations of the New Year, which I find I can not blame many for. Hard to want to celebrate when there is little to celebrate.

I have heard it is customary to make resolutions, or to set an intent for the New Year. I have given much thought to this over the past few days and find myself unable to come up with much outside of reading more books solely for the sake of reading them. Has anyone managed to make a list of resolutions? Or do most just simply find it a foolish endeavour?

I'm fond of the holiday desserts I've discovered here so far. Maybe a little too fond. Luffy, come eat the rest of this chocolate pecan pie before I make myself sick.

A question for the rest of you, if you're bored and want to help a man out. What dessert would you recommend I try if you only had one pick? I have a soft spot for chocolate and citrus, but I'm willing to try anything once.

After a bit over a year since I've been here, working small jobs wherever I could such as math tutoring in high school and college, TA-ing on campus even and whatnot, I've officially got a permanent job as an accountant for Thor's businesses, Æsir Vineyards and the meadery.

I'm absolutely relieved to have found a more permanent position here in Vallo.

Over a year into Vallo life, it feels like bartending isn't really hitting that fulfillment threshold. Back home, Kenzi and I did PI work, nothing officially official, but I'm thinking of picking that back up here. Today is entirely too quiet, I'm not sure what to do. In the few days that Allison Martin-Stilinski was here, the world felt far brighter than it had ever been. Hopefully, I get to see her again in the future, here in Vallo or back in mine and Stiles's world.

If it's not too much of a hassle, I need to be excused from work for the next two days, three days top.

I literally just sat down I was told that the whole "I have stuff to do in my world so I have to get back" is a pretty common sentiment here, and nothing anyone can do has any power over it.

Is the "damn, my world's universe also wouldn't stop throwing things at me, I hope this means a mini-vacation from my world for some time" also just as common?

Before I landed in this world, I was stuck on a summer camp with some scary ass shit chasing me and my friends, with barely any signal or way to communicate with the outside world. Yes, I know, it's the most tropiest slasher/horror situation ever. But we all survived, no Final Girls here, but my usual horror stuff I used to like just doesn't do anything when you kind of went through some shit like that, you know?

That being said, I'm still planning on enjoying my Halloween the typical way with classic Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus but ALSO, looking for some recommendations.
